She is middle of the pack. Nowhere close to being the best. But I personally agree she should have made it to the top 5, probably in the 4th or 5th position. Seriously, though, absolutely no chance at beating Chile.
Miss Philippines is so natural, articulate , with poise and confident when she answered the questions. Her score is not fair for her. She must be in the top 5. She’s gorgeous.

Señora traductora, es una lástima que usted no sepa lo que es una ropa vieja... Visite Latinoamérica para que sepa lo que se perdió durante todo este tiempo :D
why is it unfair?? She sounded v nervous, no where close to the kind of confidence shown by Chile, Puerto Rico, USA, even a weak contestant like Peru sounded more articulate than she did.
Why are people saying Philippines was excellent in this segment? She is fine. Excellent? Nah. The only one who blew it out of the park is Miss Chile. Puerto Rico wins points for her spontaneity. Italy has so much charisma you can’t help but love her. USA wins points for her eloquence even though I’m lukewarm with her. Miss Philippines speaks a bit like a robot, not too much personality or charisma. A bit of a middle-of-the-road performance just like Peru and Venezuela. Fine but let’s stop pretending she’s EXCELLENT. She isn’t.
@@manchestercity961 Singapore was underscored and Sweden was pretty but not very memorable. She just was kind of "there". Turks & Caicos got the short end of the stick when she revealed she had all these dogs because one of the females got pregnant. While i love Pebbles, i agree with you regarding her interview performance. When she mentioned that it was the first thing she was gonna do if she wins Miss Universe, it caused her scores to go down... But she was confident, sassy and articulate
This was a really weak top 10 for the most part. I’d argue that peru, singapore, Turks and Caicos and Sweden didn’t deserve to be in the top 10 at all. There were much stronger candidates that year in Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Japan, Dominican Republic and especially Colombia.
Ms. Philippines has one of the best interviews! Unfair!
Miss Philippines did a wonderful job in the interview. She definitely made us proud.
miss Philippines scored unfairly low here. shes one of the best in this segment.

Miss philippines should be n top 5 she is beautiful fluence in english without interpreter
Yes, interview... i love this portion of the pageant ! Bob Barker had been conducting this job from 1967 til his retirement in 1987 (21 years).
Miss philippines should be on top 5
She almost. 6th place.

Italy should have won...Philippines gorgeous...
Hands off to Bob Barker very articulate. I noticed he is able to bring out the best in a contestant.
Philippines was witty. She should have been picked.
We love you and we're so proud of you kababayan for representing our beloved Country the Philippines 🇵🇭😍😍😍🇵🇭😍🇵🇭
Miss Italy, not too much make up, but very beautiful face!
Peru n Philippines!!!! Excellent interview
Rest in peace Bob Barker ❤
How come Philppines scored too low on this interview ..maybe d judges looks more on d physical attribute , anyways Good Job Miss Philippines #Top10
Not pretty at all..sorry
@@Scorpio70ish lol why do they have the interview? if the physical attribute is score?
I think her personality didn't stand out as it should have .. however I think her interview was cohesive and clear.

Muuy lindas Italia y Venezuela, Perú con una voz muy sensual y Chile muy posicionada y carismática.
It was not fair for the Philippines. She answered the questions smartly.
All of them look like a real life BARBIE
They all seem so natural & comfortable.
How different to modern contests!
The scores were very low. How come? All of them answered well. Miss Peru didnt deserve her score.
Peru had excellent answers. I did not understand the low score. What were the judges were taking into account? Peru was one of the best in Q&A.
True..Philippines shdve been in top 5
Itvwas a good conversation with the host to her !!!
MIss Philippines is my bet.
Those days that beauties usually young at age yet impressive and matured.

If Geraldine Asis of Phl🇵🇭- rank 6 here was the rep in 1988 Ms.U she was 1st r.up toThailand won👸.
Thanks fantastic
Why they give bad score to Philippines she should have good score or even be in top 5.
Miss Italy looks like Liza Soberano, a famous Philippine actress.
Ms. Philippines looks like kisses “CHINITA”♥️
La secilia boloco era la más limda tenía carita de muynieca
La peruana se desempeño muy bien
Sweet lady
tambak daw ang mga nag bigay ng flower kay Geraldine, ang ganda ng Miss Philippines
Ms Philippines is so eloquent
If Ms. Philippines competed the following year, she would have made top 5. It was mostly Asians in 1988, and Thailand won.
Miss Peru and Miss Phiilppines deserved higher scores
Peru awful and looks like she’s 40 years old. Philippines middle of the pack, good but not great
wow very clear go geraldine!
The time when judges only have eyes and no ears for Q&A 😹😹😹 The judges were just display and MU Organization decides who wins. Right?
This is the era of discrimination
La peruana tenia cara de hombre la mas hermosa era la chilena que fue la que gano
La chilena fue unica
I've always waited for Bob Barker to bark.
Y’all can tell that interpreter for Miss Venezuela is from España based on accent alone…..VERY lost in translation indeed 🙄
