    I agree the soft touch stuff / belts are a pain, but when your growing ancient grains and edible dry beans, it has to look so good that it looks like it’s a prop for a photographer. It pays really well.

    Years and years ago, a farmer might have one elevator for his square bales, ear corn, and soybeans or shelled corn. Nowadays, his hay is in big squares or round bales, the corn crib is now a tool shed, and he uses an auger, belt-veyor, or a pit and leg setup to store his grain. My how times have changed in 60 years.
