Meet Irini who is working on extracting aluminium and Scandium from bauxite residue

Meet Eirini who is a member of Tesmet, a research group operating in National Technical University of Athens that is working on extracting Aluminium and Scandium from bauxite residue. Eirini Georgala is explaining how the team will valorize waste from the aluminium industry and make an impact on both the Aluminium industry and the EU Aluminium trade.
HARARE will demonstrate sustainable pathways to produce non-ferrous metals using hydrogen as an enabler, for removing waste and valourising materials in carbon free processes. This is a large and complex task! Our consortium consists of industry, universities and research institutes which work on this challenge together.
