- In this video, I discuss the role of papaya leaf extracts in increasing platelet counts in diseases associated with very low platelet count such as Dengue fever and cirrhosis.

This is the LATEST, highest-quality evidence paper on Dengue fever and papaya leaf extract use.
2. Treatment guidelines for Dengue fever from major clinical societies:

I too had Dengue a year or so ago and didn't take papaya leaf or any extract. Just good hydration and nutrition and the count went up from 15K automatically on the 7th day.
I followed Dr Abbys advice of not taking papaya extracts even though the modern med doc who was treating me told me to have it. Also, the TN Govt ran and runs huge ads recommending papaya leaf extract as a cure all for dengue. Sigh.

My mom had Dengue last year. We spent more money on Kiwi fruits (as they're very costly) than the actual medicines. But recently we got to know that kiwi fruits have no effect on Dengue🤦♂

Hi Dr. my platelets has been slowly dropping for the past 2 years. Now it’s dropping very fast. It’s sitting at 34. What could be the problem? I have been diagnosed with ITP.

The question not answered is whether papaya leaf extract helps platelet revival i.e. does the rate of platelet count revival improve ? That would certainly be an interesting topic
I think that's what he is trying to convey. All controlled studies suggest there is no impact of papaya leaf extract on platelet count.

Regarding your last vdo on turmeric, Is there any credible study which suggests that Turmeric can be used as an antiseptic agent ( cream or lotion) for external cuts or wounds. Would be helpful if you could throw some light.

Hello Sir, Please make a video on Alkaline water, as there's so many distributors of alkaline water machines are there in market, who are claiming that alkaline water is good to treat many heavy diseases like cancer, psoriasis, kidney and Liver problems, etc.
Plus when we ask them about their claims in well known scientific journals, they asks people to go to the distributer's website for all the claims they're propagating. Even they propagate that alkaline water is treating covid-19 too.
I think it'll be an eye opening for people to get knowledge from you on this topic.

When your doctor fails to correct your issue people will try to fix on thier own be it right or wrong they are press for a resolve. My low count has been for 4 years and I need surgery soon .

Except the last line -" I think in future may be we may find some chemical in papaya leaf extract which increases the platelet count" The moment you send this video to someone, they'll take this line out of context and say - "See, he only means as of now we don't have evidence. In future we may find it. So it doesn't mean papaya leaf extract doesn't work." And all other explanation given till then will be discarded. Why did you have to say that 🙃

Don't know about platelet rise due to Papaya leaf extract but a lot of my Dengue patient's came back with loose stools after consuming papaya leaf extract.
Initially I was puzzled why this was happening, reading of text books and management guidelines shed no light.
On taking a detailed history I discovered a lot of these patients were consuming raw papaya leaf extract. After counselling patients to avoid this stunt, the incidence of loosies in Dengue patient's came down to zero.
So leaf also got laxative properties maybe
Possibly due to high concentrations of cellulose in the leaf extract which is not inherently digested in the human GI tract since we lack the specific enzymes. Cellulose is a hydrophilic molecule and can exert an osmotic effect. Since it can hold water molecules, it increases the bulk of chyme and stimulates peristalsis. This could be a possible explanation.

If you haven’t found any research paper on success rate of papaya leaf juice extract in increasing platelets then do your own research to understand if it works or not. Btw I haven’t bought any juice. I just grind the leaves for the juice. I had around 100-150 ML. Even it’s bitter it takes hardly 5 seconds to consume and that’s it
Doesn’t know about others but For me it worked when I got low platelet count twice when I was in college. (I don’t have dengue, it’s viral fever) You are having bias and liking the comments that oppose taking papaya leaf extract. Anyways I had fruits also that time but only after having leaf juice it hiked. Let me do the experiment this time and let you know if it works again. I won’t have any fruits and even medications.

Not tablets or capsules. Direct plant leaf juice. It does increases a little.

My son has dengue and every day I give him papaya juice and coconut water with fruit and it helped him alot, papaya juice works well , it increases your blood platelets

U r theory of placebo effect is applicable and goes good very well with even most of the palliative treatments of Allopathy too. Dr BM Hegde a well experienced and a senior in the field had spoken vastly on this. U are vague & U seem to generalise that all the studies are not properly done. In that case even many of the Allopathic drugs have undergone a vague study. U R views seems to be driven by ulterior motives.
