I used to watch this with my mum in the early/mid 90s, it was really good back then. Sally’s not unattractive, she just natural and doesn’t use much, if any cosmetics, as many do which creates a false image, good for her. Joes mums an attractive lady for someone who has a son that age.
WOW!, I've been watching this show since the start and have to admit I have no memory of this storyline (though I do remember being hassled by Heath Ledger's character). In those days Jack always reminded me of Dean Cain.
It's not the whole storyline. There was a couple of scenes which are missing. One scene Joe comes behind Sally and makes a scary chilling sound and calls her names which makes her cry.
Why the hell didn’t Sally just say he called her an ugly dog and everything else he tormented her with. All she said was he was jealous of her being smarter. So frustrating Sally.
Easier said than done I was badly bullied at school and play scheme I never told my parents about it also there's that fear of the bullies making sure you don't tell anyone you're frightened they may turn violent if you dare speak out yes it's true the soon you tell someone the better and ( in time) you can move forward and stand a 10ft tall and show you're not afraid anymore but nonetheless it's not that easy to tell people what's happening it's a similar thing for people who are victims of domestic abuse they can't tell their loved ones what's going on because they're so frightened and wore about what will happen to them if they do report it Xx
@@lindapirie7021 You’re right there it’s like any kind of abuse you try and encourage yourself to tell someone what’s going on but you’re frightened of the consequences of what might happen if you do speak out Xx
@@katemissfilanpurrmcdevitt Absolutely. Sorry you went through all that bullying. Must have been horrendous. Hope you have healed from it, or are at least on the path to healing. God bless 🙏
Quite hard to watch... The guy used every possible classic bully tactic...But Fisher did a great job of resolving it...I sensed once he was brought in to deal with it, he'd solve it fairly.
Yes she did look good. But some teenage boys are immature/idiots and only go for sassy/confident girls with glitz and glamour. And there are always some narrow-minded people who think smart people (male or female) are boring. Joe thought Sally was a goody-goody. Sometimes our like/dislike of someone's personality has a say in our attraction to them, regardless of their good looks. Having said that, there are many people who do like people who're both good-looking and clever 🙂 And Jack was wrong to tell Joe Sally had never had a boyfriend before. I remember she went out with a surfing guy called Craig, though not for long. Michael caught them snogging at a party. A boy in her class tried to crack on to her at a concert with her friend Gina, although she knocked him back. And when she was about 10/11, she had an admirer called Mullet (Murray).
@@katemissfilanpurrmcdevitt She wasn't asking for it? You mean she wasn't really the "highly intelligent" student everyone was jealous about? Coulda fooled me!
it wasnt as simple as that. Jack was a foster kid as well and had issues himself and was trying to get acceptance. You need to watch the previous episodes. He did end up sticking up for her in the end
and messed things up more and more as the years went on. For example: "Milko" became "Milco", then Alf's first wife came back from the dead 30 years later.
Get over yourself Joe you’re just a sad pathetic vindictive bully you didn’t need to harass poor Sally well done Donald Fisher you’re an absolute legend I love you Xx
If that was my friend going through that bullying, let alone my foster sister, that prick would be waking up in ER with not one tooth left in his head.

She played Sarah Forrest aka Jackie Nolan and the lagging nun Anita Selby in Prisoner. The other Irish person is Jackie Woodburne from Carrickfergus Co. Antrim aka Susan Kennedy in Neighbours. She played Julie "Chook" Egbert in Prisoner alongside Debra Lawrence who appeared as her sister Liz in Neighbours. However better known as Pippa Fletcher Ross # 2 in Home and Away.
When Joe said to Sally with a face like hers she would have to be good at something, was horrible!!! She looked so hurt.😢😢

I agree
Don Fisher has the best vernacular
Just realised that the actor who portrayed Joe is the same actor who played Ross Nixon (Bella's father and Colby's step-father).

It’s nice that jack looks out for his foster sister like that, why not. Pippa and Michael have helped him 👍🏻
I'm surprised Shannon did'nt stand up for Sally more, the feisty girl ! Loved Shannon more than any other character !
Sally Fletcher as Katie Richie is beautiful really talented I wish I could see her someday and Ray Meagher and.Evelyn from home and away
Kate Richie as Sally Fletcher

@CanberraUser Why? Why do you think she deserved this?
Donald Fisher always put Summer Bay High first not himself
He had pubes on his head

actor that played joe returned to the show and was murdered by his step son
Home and Away golden year's were from 1989 to 2004
1988-1993 for me best years
1989 to 2011 for me
It was when Charlie was on the show so from 2008-2012
The best years lasted until 2008 for me.
I have to agree this episode was more interesting then the shit you see these days 😒

I watch older episodes on Dailymotion too. It's great.
I absolutely loved Sally Fletcher she was the cutest
Yeah, that's why "Pippa" played favourites with her against Dodge. She was the Fletcher's little princess
Kate Richie was always so believable when she was crying. Even in the first few episodes when Sally was still a little kid.

Teresa Lynch, Joe's mother. She only stayed in the Bay for a couple of months.
Kate Ritchie is in her 40s now and she is absolutely stunning
