i was there that day and actually bought one of mil's masks, I've been mesmerized by him ever since i was a little kid, some people speak badly of him but he's been great to me each time i've met him
From what ive read, no one liked to work against Mil Mascaras back in the way. They say that he refused to "sell" thier moves or to put them over. He was a movie star in Mexico and walked around like he was above all the other wrestlers.
Máscaras has attributed these claims to cultural differences in the sport, saying: "One problem is that in the U.S. some wrestlers focus more on their IMAGE than their SKILLS. I understand because I understand the business. I don't criticize them for that, but they should understand that for me wrestling means something more. If a guy doesn't execute a move, I don't pretend that he did. If I miss a move, then I don't ask anyone to make me look good. " - Mil Mascaras, Filmfax, pp.51-52, issue 1, 2012 He made some very valid points as to why he worked that way. And I totally agree with him on his reasons. His last statement is totally respectable. The "wrestlers" who couldn't handle that never deserved to be in the ring with him in the first place. The man was a technical wrestler and NOT a script performer (except in his films of course).
Still going.....Mil Mascaras...in your 45th year of Professional Wrestling....WOW. I'm sure it's just as much fun for you as it's always been. Aaron....you look great. Have fun in Japan.
Sad to see The Destroyer using a walker and his speech was slurred.Thirty-nine years in the business. Man, this guy could wrestle. I won't watch wrestling today. Too much of a circus. Dick Beyer was an inter-collegiate wrestling champion. Destroyer was fun to watch.
I'd like to think that isn't true about Mascaras, but that's not hard to believe either. I say that because I was a member of a gym that belonged to Sting and Lex Luger years ago when we had the WCW. From my own experience I can say Sting, Booker T, Dallas Page and Kimberly, Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell and even Chris Benoit and few others were cool, but Dean Malenko, Vampiro, Saturn, Billy Kidman appeared to be the more antisocial. Not all them know how to receive people outside of the business.
And that's just a small list of who I met during those years, And what was funny to me was when I was in competitive bodybuilding, Johnny Swinger came and supported me in one of my contests, and when he was starting out in the business, Mark Jindrak once asked me advice on how to train on the extended reach pec deck. I wasn't used to that, but it was fun. :) Never met the Warlord, but I knew he was a powerhouse I'll bet.

Real wrestlers. Their matches were legendary
Destroyer spoke the truth about the state of wrestling today
Mascaras is nearly 70 in this interview yet he still looks physically half his age! Amazing athletic shape!
Greatest feud of all time!
Greatest matches ever
ESTE SI ES UNA LEYENDA
Mascaras looks like he can still go in ring, today, Destroyer got up like he could hardly move.
Still going.....Mil Mascaras...in your 45th year of Professional Wrestling....WOW.
I'm sure it's just as much fun for you as it's always been.
Aaron....you look great. Have fun in Japan.
Destroyer is about 80 here
This was my favorite masked man rivalry ever in wrestling 😎
this is a great video, two leyends of wrestling, real wrestler not a clown wrestler wiht the WWE
BOTH ARE GREAT
great job fun interview
Los grandes rivales!
Magnifica entrevista grasias
R.I.P. Dick Beyer (1930 - 2019)
Mil Mascaras, Dos Caras Jr. aka Alberto Del Rio's uncle.
Love how Apter fixes his comb over. He's had one since 83.
Destroyer past his prime , but still ALL man here ! both men alpha male !
Destroyer was a tons better worker, but Mascaras was an Apter made worker for the Stanley Weston mags

but it was fun. :)
Never met the Warlord, but I knew he was a powerhouse I'll bet.
1:44:tell us your opponent in japan. who was it? mil:legendary baba, tsuruta, (sic)tenjo (tenryu) and fujinami. i never heard him speaking english.
DISTROII OR ISS KOOL. TO ATAF RASOLOR .GOOD MAN

Why would you interview some one who speaks such terrible english?
+atheist vegan millionaire Mil Mascaras is from San Luis Potosi, Mexico
