Hi mate, really like your videos as I'm just getting into the game myself. My stepfather is an old collector from 50s/60s and has a book published on its history called '50 years of flicking football'. Would be good to chat more. Cheers, Dan
That is bloody weird. I'm 41 too and on my way to collect it today. Haven't a notion about the rules but my son is football mad and thought we'd try something different than playing on the Playstation
Am 61, Loved subbuteo, every Saturday n the early 70's I'd buy two teams with my pocket money at a toy shop called "Toys & games", must have had good 100 sets, as a Crystal palace fan i bought any new strip they used, had 4 different designs, sadly all long gone now
@@SubbuteoCollector since i posted this i’ve been actually saving up for a box set and to get custom pieces for my pitch. i watched a vid of urs where u go in depth about where to shop. i’m just hoping i can find ppl who play subbuteo here in philadelphia
Love the enthusiasm, such a great watch ,my so to the a continental club edition . Loved it and just wanted the heavyweights, now all I want is the leggenda range after watching some of your unboxings. I have one so far lo! . Keep up the great work
I'm an American that is trying desperately to start a club at our local Hobby Town here in the state of Virginia, USA. A good friend of mine and I just discovered the game, and as football fans, are ENAMORED with the whole ethos and have since bought the UEFA Edition Starter Kit. Plan on practicing more and moving on to an Astro matted pitch. We have, maybe TWO online outlets in the entire US (not surprising considering the game nearly died in the 90s/2000s in it's own region, much less the US) and the official Table Soccer organization recognizes maybe 10-12 TFC's in the country, and they're obviously hundreds of kilos apart. Trying hard via socials and such to garner interest, we know loads of football fans who learned English second, and it seems viable! Love this damn game! Keep flicking!
Seach out a guy called Paul Eyes. He has a channel on UA-cam. His based in the states and has done excellent things for the game out there,. He'll 100% be able to help and guide
@@SubbuteoCollector Oh, lad who runs Table Soccer USA? I have items on his shop that are in my cart that I'm planning on purchasing! (Astropitch and a custom Spanish National Team set, mi madre es de Madrid)
I hear you there. I’m a British expat in NYC, and since turning thirty I’ve been absolutely hooked on subbuteo again. Alas, the closest club to me is Maryland (Paul Eyes).
@@Ed-Rosenthal7 Love to hear it! My mate and I have been playing on the Extreme Pitch from Paul's shop (WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!?) and man, we went down the whole rabbit hole of the history of the game. Shame it isn't more popular! I'm 32, my mate is 30, we're freshly hooked! Getting better by the week.
I had a set as a kid. I remember I had a couple of stands, TV stand and Mum bought me the Everton team when I was 10 years old after they lost the second replay of the League Cup against Villa. I sold it all but discovered your channel and love the enthusiasm mate. Looking to purchase a set again now, but not so keen on the modern versions. There’s a 1992 World Cup set I have my eye on from Subbuteo emporium. They ship overseas as well. I’m in New Zealand and I’ve lived here for 18 years now. Thanks again and so much great info on a great game! 😊
@@SubbuteoCollector I’m still deciding. Not much available in my adopted country, New Zealand. Will have to buy from overseas. I don’t like the look of the modern sets.

Cheers - not sure if you are still active on this channel, but I am hoping you can help me out! I recently discovered this hobby and really want to play with the heavyweights first. The problem is there are so many to choose from!!!! Also, I mostly want to play with Serie A teams, the modern kits more so with some classic ones as well. I don't mind painting my own figures either. What would you recommend to start out with as a heavyweight base & figures for my needs? Just looking for suggestions to get started. thank you!
Hi, still very active, just been a little bit behind. Original Heavyweight Serie A teams are not going to come cheap nowadays sadly. Painting your own could be the best option. Personally I would Recommend Santiago Table soccer santiagotablesoccer.co.uk. Good prices and good products They do heavyweight style figure and and base. I would then recommend Westwood table soccer for tips on painting but also tips on how to fix the figures together. Great channel ua-cam.com/users/westwoodtablesoccer.
