You could follow the complex sequence of steps in the owners manual and transmission would likely still request parking brake to apply. My suggestion is to pull battery cable first then pull neutral override (obviously make sure the tow cable is hooked up so it doesn't roll away).
You're talking with the cadence of their being a problem but there seems to be no problem. You disengaged it the same way you disengage a regular parking break: by disengaging it. Did I miss something?
IF you have a scan tool to activate parking brake service mode, that works wonders. The advice in the video did not work for us. the parking brake still applies even when holding it down and releasing the cable.

26k so far. Never been "tOwEd OfF tO dEaLeR" "Derp". Great car.

Just hold it down! It works
I've had this issue a few times. Having ski's help immensely!
Hey bro thank you for this info, on my way to get one now. Ill be making a video. Are you healing up alright?
Ya bro I’m good have fun brother!
Welcome
To the new generation of headaches 😆
heard that!
Thanks 👊
Snatch truck reaps the benefit of the neutral override
Sneaker lift and dollies 🔥😏
I have had brand new gms off the trains do the same thing..the buicks in particular..pisses me off that they all have that annoying parking brake.
So you disengage the parking break with the parking break switch? I can see why you’re confused and frustrated..
Good video
Thanks
Tow vibes for prez 🙏💪
Going to have to make some sort of weighted grippy thing you can lay on the switch to keep it depressed

no sometimes they just lock up have to slide it off with dish soap
@@Towvibes That's obnoxious 😳 Thanks for taking the time to explain that for me
Your a pro!

You can override the electronic parking brake bud
u have to do both I figured it out
The more electronically controlled components, the more headaches.
my thoughts exactly!
Just more stuff to mess up, very rarely and sometimes never would u have a problem with actual shift linkage (old school gear box’s)
Your absolutely correct, there’s no need more all those electrical stuff in a car
Every new car has its problems, manufacturing plants aren’t perfect. There will always be a mistake
But American dealers tend to have an overabundance. That's why they keep needing bailed out bcse that couldn't compete otherwise.
That's a Bronco Sport...
Yes I put it in the description!
@@Towvibes is that the 3 cylinder?
@@applepoop10 you got me I’m not to hip on the broncos
@@applepoop10Looks like it, yes, but the parking break being electronic is on every trim level
Meanwhile at Toyota : 🌞🧘☺️
Maybe 15 years ago all the new cars like everything else is junk iv towed plenty of newer Toyotas steering rack electrical issues it’s crazy

Where exactly is this tag? Common man take just a minute.
by left knee when your sitting!
Found on road dead
That's only something a retard who doesn't know better would say.
way to much electronic when it should stay mechanical
Absolutely fords actually not bad pretty much all the new cars you need a scan tool to take the brake off when it’s broken down!
I wonder how you guys tow bmws, since they don't have neutral overrides anymore since a few years and you also dont have cranes for whatever reason
Skates and winching! 🪝💪 iv done so many videos doing so or Dollys!

Why the parking brake on if it's automatic lol? 🤔
ask ford let me know what they say! 🤔
Parking Brake is used as a backup to the transmission parking pawl to ensure vehicle can not roll and hurt someone.(yep I'm the Ford guy to ask)
Most new cars set the brake in park
Lol I've never used a parking brake in a automatic , then again I've never owned a automatic Ford either .
