    I’m embarrassed for us both bro. I’m embarrassed you bragged on yourself this whole video and embarrassed that I watched you do it. How did you “get good” so fast? Well, you you’re gigantic, athletic, young and have the ability to train all the time. Anyone in the same situation (as long as the school is legit) could do the same thing. The question is - how did *I* get good so fast as a 5’ 4” 150 lb dude with zero athletic ability? I didn’t. It took years and years of work. I’m just a brown belt and every belt, every stripe, every roll in every class was a huge challenge. The answer is - keep showing up, do your best and don’t quit. You’ll get good. Take it from a short, pot bellied old man who is average in every way but one: I stuck with it until I became good and just kept going. There is no secret sauce. You either have the physical attributes that make it a little easier or the physical attributes that make it a little harder but either way you’re gonna pay the man and earn it. ☮️

      Yeah man I totally agree. That's why I said I had those attributes that helped me so quickly. Obviously I was being a sarcastic asshole bragging. But the main point was spamming one move over and over until you get good. Like you said no secret sauce just time on the mat trying over and over again. I get humbled daily and that will keep happening over and over again. Oss

      @@Dragonwarriorbjj Ehhh, I don't really take offence to anything you said or think it was cringey. If anything I appreciate your honesty and experience. The internet and public opinion can be totally bias and unfair, especially if there is some kind bandwagon bashing going on. For some reason ppl. just feel you are boasting and don't see much past that. Maybe, you need to put this in gangster rap format all while smoking a blunt and triangling ppl. as you blow smoke at their face tapping them out. Make sure to include how much more money you are making, say ho and bitch, and talk about drugs.

    Do you loop a set of things to rep? Or just a singular thing? As a fresh blue belt, I’m not good at any particular thing, just basic at a lot of things.

    • @Dragonwarriorbjj
      @Dragonwarriorbjj  2 місяці тому +3

      I'll loop a single thing at a time. So a good example would be a side control escape. Let people get to side control. Build a hip frame with your elbow, build a fame on the neck (make sure to point your elbow at their chin) and elevate ur elbows overhead and pull knees to chest to do a proper basic frame and shrimp from side control. Do it live, again and again and again with that being your only one true focus. You can do it during sparring rounds, you just have to drop your ego and allow people to pass(so you will "lose the round") but you will be refining a specific skill while other people are trying to get a moral self victory. You can watch my video on frame and shrimp. Or any other youtuber and try them all. Some work for some people and some don't. You need to find out for yourself what's best for you

      @@DragonwarriorbjjThat’s a really small bit of detail about pointing my elbow up for a stronger frame. I usually push my forearm on their neck but outwards rather than up - but i can see elbow up would be much more effective.
      I can see that specific rolling is beneficial, but life becomes that much harder if i let myself be on bottom (I’m a small person haha), but it certainly has its merits.
      Thank you for taking the time to reply. Good luck with the channel!

    Summary: be strong and have autistic levels of obsession

      Autism for sure. And all positive physical attributes will speedrun your progress. I E strength, athleticism, flexibility, endurance. They all allow you to do that looping more consistently and successfully.
