Big, strong, fearless, reliable, cool, accurate....these are all the words that come to mind when I hear the name Handre Pollard.
Not really seeing offers flying in from European or Japanese clubs for our local flyhalfes,wonder why that is.

Springboks have de Allende, Am / Kriel / Moodie, Kolbe / Arendse / Mapimpi, Willemse / le Roux outside of the 10 channel - these are all incredibly good finishers and excel when put into a bit of space. We scored so many tries amongst our backline when Pollard was off injured and it stopped as soon as he stepped onto the field.
Can we really afford to stay in that style of play another four years or do we now look to the expansive backline play that will be required if the proposed laws take our forwards down a notch?

@@FrancoisSauer-ys3qc How is that even an argument? We don't need to have the best backline in the world to play expansive rugby. And not having the best backline in the world is no excuse to continue playing 10 man rugby with the occasional skop-en-hoop, especially given how the proposed laws are designed to neuter our forward domination. So then what? No forward domination, no penalty scrums, no bomb squad - what do we do then?
