- Hey everyone, been a while.
This video took a LONG time to do simply because of how difficult this fight is to do without taking damage. This is without a doubt the most difficult challenge I’ve ever done on this game, neither king hrolf or gna can even hold a candle to Odin in terms of sheer difficulty, it’s absurd.
Hope you all enjoy, will be fighting the Beserker sisters next.
Just for future reference, if i ever go on another long hiatus like i did before uploading this video, its because I’m working on a video, I’ll always respond to comments though.
Also, using KG’s save editor I’ve made the following changes.
Reset all weapon/shields to level 1
Added all burdens.
Transmogged Onslaught Shield to have the appearance of the Spartan Aspis shield.
Unlocked all Weapon skills.
Transmogged sorrow of Sparta gear to look like survival gear.

@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X maybe Devil May Cry 5 might be something you’d be interested in, the game is extremely combo heavy with a variety of bosses and enemies it takes some getting used to when you first start playing
These boss fights of yours can actually rival smvr's videos man. The combos alongside the level 1 and all burdens is crazy. Can't even fathom the effort it took you. It was phenomenal man.

Yup, it was a one in a million gameplay recording as if the fight had been one second longer or one second shorter it wouldn’t have lined up. It also happened to be absolutely perfect gameplay run as well.

12:29 something I realised just now: then Odin shouts no the second time, I thought it was because he lost hugin/munin to Freya’s neck snap but it was because he has just gotten the book that would save him. It wasn’t “no! Hugin!” It was “no! You won’t beat me”

This is my favorite video I’ve made so far, the final phase holds a special place in my heart as it was great gameplay but more importantly, it was PERFECTLY in sync with the studio release version of the All father OST, making this run truly one in a million, I don’t know if it could ever be replicated.

Correct, I doubt anyone could replicate the final moments. I had tearful eyes during the last seconds, I felt bad for the All-Father when he lost. He fought so bravely, even when outnumbered so, 1 VS 4. Odin battled like a King. In your video, you feel it as a final confrontation of a great game's powerful villain, and not some Give Me Story walk in the park over in 5 minutes. Thank you for this masterpiece, elite player.
@@Asgardian_King yup, Odin may have been a despicable God but his desire to live on and his fear of death in his final moments is very relatable.

I like the progression with the elemental shields Odin deploys in the third phase. The first shield was unexpected and blew back Kratos, the second was blocked, and the third was stopped… pretty cool.

It makes sense that even if Kratos does not have better armor but has the skillfullness to defeat all his enemies despite his armor.

In regards to the music, it was completely luck that it lined up, truly a one in a million take as if it had been one second longer or one second shorter it wouldn’t have lined up.
Also for whatever reason I think the OST for the 2nd phase of the Odin fight sounds better in a lower pitch

Between this and the 2nd Thor fight, I think i gotta go with this one as everything came together perfectly, gameplay and music. It’s like being asked to choose which kid is my favorite, so hard to pick though.
At the end of the day I’m just a fan of GOW, i love watching GOW gameplay vids so when i make these videos, i try and add as many cool moments and unique music as possible so i can look back and say “damn that was awesome.”
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X Each and every video you've made has been Awesome and you should be proud of yourself! But I might actually prefer the Odin fight, the music choice was definitely a factor and of course the gameplay. The combo's, the way you deal with his attacks etc, it was a real fun watch.
Bro tbh I would love a tutorial of setting up the save editor, and the settings to get it up and running. It would be awesome!

Honestly, epic as this is, it's actually kind of relaxing. I can feel comfortable that Rage of Sparta isn't going to ever get hit, and so the tension is kind of gone. Given he also parries everything there's a kind of satisfaction there that I find calming. Sure it was probably adrenaline on adrenaline to record, but the end product is something kind of artful.

Yeah man, in the future i may have better gameplay during the odin fight or someone else could maybe.
That being said, in terms of the overall presentation, dialogue, music, video quality, choreography, I don’t think anything will ever be able to top this video, the fact that the gameplay in the final phase perfectly syncs up with the studio mix of the all father is literally 1 in a million odds, on top of that, the gameplay was pretty much perfect. This is by far my favorite video I’ve ever made and honestly I don’t think that will ever change. Glad you enjoyed the video, I worked very hard on it.

@@piebuns9127 that would’ve been a very short fight lol, if Thor was fresh and hadn’t already fought Jormungandr and Kratos he possibly could have beaten Odin in a 1V1, that could go either way though, Odin is also a very skilled fighter.

During post processing, I increase the footage saturation in order to make the colors more vibrant. UA-cams compression natural dulls colors so it’s an important thing to do. Glad you enjoyed.

La parte del bosque de hierro es lo que a muchos hecha pa atrás, yo sinceramente cada vez que lo rejuego más aún si es en ng+ me salto todos los cofres disponibles y voy directo al grano, así es menos tedioso.

Sadly, i do not think so, maybe on PC there is but on PS4/PS5? No.
Idk if it’s just me or not but Odin felt harder than all the berserkers and gna
It’s true, he doesn’t have as much health as the beserkers or gna and he doesn’t do as much damage, that said, Odin’s attacks are the hardest to defend against in the game. He’s also the hardest to hit consistently with good combos.
Overall Odin is the hardest boss in the game to beat without taking damage.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X yeh I think the devs intentionally made him the most unpredictable character and yeh i agree for me his always been the hardest to beat on no damage especially when I rarely fight him only when I finish a ng+ I have no idea what I’m doing against him and I only dodge it gets messed up
@@Alsarmdia some of his attacks are straight up broken, like actually bugged, his frost beam can glitch out sometimes and shoot nonstop, his overhead bifrost whip attack can also be very inconsistent.
Other than the few bugs, ill still say it’s my favorite fight in the game, the harder the challenge the greater the victory feels.
@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X wow didn’t knew this was a thing you must’ve fought him too many times to know this, the only glitch that happened to me was him spamming his domain (4:20) and he legit never stopped even when his health bar was depleted and it wasn’t solved even after restarting I ended up restarting my ps4 for it to stop, I found it to be the easiest out of them all especially if you perfectly dodge backwards it gives kratos an invisible frame against it
Same I should probably act like it and spend more hours on him because I don’t remember that I ever loaded his boss fight and played great gameplay too I love your dodging it’s getting fluid and better with each video especially that axe throwing combo you do when he does the frost beam

Dumb but fun question, do you consider odin a warrior or mage? IMO he’s a battle mage.
Honestly? Both, fighting kratos was a last resort but he came prepared as his magic was on point, he fought well and was able to hold his own against Kratos, Atreus and Freya longer than most.

@@RAGE-OF-SPARTA-X So far of me playing for a total of 7 hours and it's pretty much exactly the same as the Original Run I thought it'd be different cause the enemies are lvl 7 right away but it actually the same thing so I 100% think it's Doable, it'll take a LONG TIME but it's doable.

It’s removed, i transmogged the spartan gear to look like the survival gear, the hook remains gone though.

I have no idea why youtube didn't recommend this video to me even when I am subbed. I had to click on your channel to check if you have uploaded something new and glad I did and got to witness greatness. I am just done fighting Odin my own way but there are so many things that you did in this run which was really efficient the whiplash between the blue ground attacks. Axe and spear throw in between his attack. As well as the hilarious amount of spears jammed in him to the point he looks like a porcupine

the music sounds different than in-game. Did you edit it?
Yes, i added segments from the studio released version of the OST that aren’t in the game, i also lowered the pitch slightly so it sounds more accurate to the original.
