I think the reason some people don't like episode 8 is that we waited so long for an episode just for it to be 20 minutes long and that even though it was supposed to wrap things up fully it did it in a sort of a weird way. I don't know I'm just guessing, I actually thought the episode did good with that.
I'm from that side and I'm mostly salty that J was the most pointless character in the entire season.
But I can assure you people don't like the episode because: it felt rushed, or at least its pacing is too fast, V's return made her sacrifice worthless, and as I mentioned before, J in general

Flawed peak is how id describe the finale. It was amazing. But i feel like we should have had an extra few mins to make the finale more conclusive and tie up some loose ends

The criticism i have for this episode is how they teased us in ep7 with thad, lizzie and khan being important in the finalle and all we got from them is fucking around with sentinel and thad giving uzi her gun and they just vanished like they could fight J dammit V, N and uzi could only focus on cyn and thad, lizzie and khan could focus only on J and thats pretty much i will watch it few times again and come back to write more criticism i have about the absolute end

Bro, Glitch is obviously playing favorites with TADC. That’s why ep.8 was rushed. Sure it was in production for over a year, but the run time would’ve been longer if they didn’t have a more promising show to work on. And personally, that sucks because I actually like MD way better.
The reason it sucks because it’s really the end of the series, but to me, yeah, sad to see it’s gone but the episode was really peak

Episode 8 was just lackluster and had inconsistencies. But since day one we've had them.
Then again, lots of inconsistencies. People like it for the fighting, and ignore those stuffs.
I like it too, but it kills me how N suddednly learns how to fly the ship, somehow located Uzi instantly, how Uzi wins with the power of love making her be unpossesedable and stuff.

Episode 8 was AMAZING. The only thing that bothers me is the ending. It felt off brand, and a little rushed. All of episode 8 was intense, super climatic and overall a blast to watch, then the ending took a turn and its just uzi eating the absolute solver, killing cyn and becoming the host. No one died, even tho the entire thing of the show is murder, and the overal dark and morbid tone of the entire series was just not there. I loved the episode, the ending left me dissapointed. Glitch has been doing this a lot on the smg4 channel too, where at this point im just calling it the smg4 effect. Extremely well done for everything, but the ending falls off hard

You see fiction in a different way than us, we like to see horrors, action and things that can't happen in the real world.
You see fiction because of the characters, you like to see character development, you like to see character interactions and knowing more about the lore.

The series escalated so quickly, it's good and bad, but i wish we got more of episodes 1-3 type a thing.
You don’t really add much lore in a finale, the point of the finale is to resolve the conflict. Also, I don’t believe it was rushed. It’s always been a very fast paced series (which made it better in my opinion), and it’s been that way pretty much every episode.

The first one is just wrong.
Theres a reason i and many others think ep 8 was fuckin dogshit, and its cuz it was.
If you think of it as just another episode then yeah it was gud. But this was the BIG FINALE. And we got what? V coming back with 0 explination. Uzi and N nearly die like 20 times and come back cuz qwhy the fuck not, a 20 min episode. Cyn gettin plot armor power of friendshipped. And J GETTING SIDELINED ONCE AGAIN?! it was an ass, unsatisfying finale.
Few corrections:
1. The explanation of V’s return was an extremely brief, blink-and-you-miss-it moment, but on Lizzy’s phone V did explain it to an extent
2. Fair point, only that if they weren’t losing then Cyn wouldn’t be that great of a threat, and Cyn is also meant to be stronger than them. I think they should’ve given Nori more screen time and maybe killed off Khan.
3. Cyn is still alive and potentially even won, at least she might have actually wanted Uzi to eat her.
4. This one I slightly agree with. She got like 3 minutes on screen, which is substantial for a 20 minute episode, but all she said really was that Cyn tricked her but it was better to stay on the winning side. I feel that the scene where V said bite me to J should have been extended for some meaningful dialogue.

Let's be honest with each other and try to pretend like we all mature. 8th episode was absolutely none of thing that anyone could've expected. And that is why one side says that episode not only lived up expectations, but even put higher plank. And other says it did not. And every side has valid arguments to that, but it is just not one-sided thing. And I think its safe to say that episode really put higher plank, but it also really messed up badly with some important things.
We get a finale, hooray I guess. But it feels too rushed, it just has an awkward pacing and I thought they would've handled it differently. Uzi stranded out in space... then N comes with a spaceship and then they immediately go into "let's fight Cyn!" with the others. It felt too fast and almost seemed like they just gave in and fed into the big boss battle for the end.
A finale is designed to resolve the conflict. That is what it did, and it executed its purpose very well. It used its time extremely efficiently, and it’s always been a very fast paced series.

I like the show, to me, considering the overall themes and capacity of the regular episodes, having N and Uzi meet instantaneously at 3:00, then having the fights start only 2 minutes later at near 5:00. I already predicted that V would come back due to J's dialogue on "Effective drones were cloned more", but it just ruined her 'sacrifice' in Episode 6. It was this big thing, a big character development moment for V, but then they just brought her back for the finale. Also, (still my opinions), Uzi being able to suddenly fight against the Absolute Solver despite struggling to for 7 previous episodes? Just a bit odd to me. I get the fast pace series- but that's also what limits it, not the same, but like the situation with episode 5 where it was just a bit iffy and then Intermission was fan-made. The 'making a handshake' mid-fight is sort of immersion-breaking to me. And what could've been an interesting end to Murder Drones, something that could've stirred the whole film direction was left for the happy ending where Uzi becomes... purple and yellow? Mixed in with the Solver? But, alas, it was shown in the pilot. Uzi has plot armour. The only things we get are the giant monster in the Cyrosleep- and the visual that Uzi might be a hologram. So much to unpack- but it's the finale. :C
It does suck story wise, awesome wise however, it's the coolest things ever.

The only issues I had with episode 8 was the cliffhanger and a certain pigtail drones motivation for going to the dark side was weak sauce as hell. Besides that though the finale was god tier

There’s a reason people disliked episode 8 a lot, it’s got good animation, voice acting, and really good choreography in its fight scenes, people hate it because of its pacing and writing. The pacing was super duper fast, and because of how fast the pacing was it messed with the writing, it started with solid writing, but started becoming absolutely weird after v’s hallway scene (which was dope) where N, uzi, and v, after being TERRIFIED of Cynessa, suddenly can fight her without being scared? It takes uzi 1 minute to go from being traumatized and cynessa constantly using callback ping to mess with her, to somehow master her solver in that minute and be able to face cynessa on her own, and the comedy inside 5e fight made no sense. N almost got eaten TWICE, and he goes from absolute panic and trauma, to “we should work on a secret handshake” and joking mid fight, you cannot make this up they suddenly stopped being scared of Cynessa for absolutely no reason, and we’re just able to face her. The ending being good doesn’t mess with the writing that much since Liam made a good point where bad ending doesn’t equal good writing, but NO character dying at all really made this episode more bland to me, after watching the 7th one I went days feeling excitement and happiness, after episode 8 I felt kind of confused, but did enjoy it. Anyways get ready for Yagsterr vs vanitymoth since one adores this episode while the other hates it so much he is gonna pretend it’s not canon and thinks it’s the worst episode in the entire series.
Tbh can you blame moth for thinking that? In my view if you value writing more than anything this episode was a really turn down compared to the episode before,like how Cyn for me lost her unique powers (like blackholes and control over others)since even Uzi started to using them turning down for me the entire thing😢
