Just watched the replay and these are two of the most beautiful cards I've ever seen! I love the birdcage card and how Gina arranged the florals. Definitely going to try the embossing technique too. Thanks for all you do to keep us inspired.
that's a really lovely technique, Gina, it got me thinking about how easy it would be to do in real gold leaf [you could outline your image in a fine tip glue pen when the glue got tacky, add the gold leaf, and burnish it in, when the glue dries, buff and smooth the leaf and viola!]
We were in Arizona for a week. Beautiful sunny weather, and then we came home to no sun, dark, rainy skies . Your cards are gorgeous. Tried the first one, but didn't put the paper in the corner and didn't luck out with getting it lined up. Therefore, I will do it again the correct way. Thanks for the technique. Tom, I loved your word of the day. Thanks so much for the laughs also.
I love these cards, so pretty. For other cards, I would like to use parts of the bird cage, cut apart. Two round tops could be put together to make an ornament, and the straight parts of the birdcage could make a kind of picket fence against a lawn or landscape background. It might look like a scalloped fence, but that would be cool. Also it seems like there might be a way to turn it into a gazebo. Fun die, thank you.
Hi Gina. I'm new viewer. I am so amazed with your ideals and patience. You make everything look so pretty. I cant wait to start making cards using blending brushes. Hi Tom you are amazing too! I can watch you all night. this is Gwen
Gunsmoke? Oh yeah!! Hubby and I watch it all the time. Right up there with Laramie, Wells Fargo, Murder She Wrote, Quincy and a host of other great clean shows from way back. Fun!!
Finally got this set. Sadly, I thought I put the kit in my cart and it wasn't there. Operator error I'm sure! LOL but now I have the bundle so that works! This is so pretty.
Tip: for smooth embossing heat from the back, I have tried it both to heat from the front and the back and heating from the back gave a real smooth result, but warning keep your heat tool moving so you don’t burn the paper
These cards are amazing Gina ❤ and those gifts are beautiful. I could spend hours watching you create floral cards. I am a lefty too. I use my cutters and platform just like you do.
I loved both the cards Gina, you are amazing with your techniques. Both you and Tom work together beautifully. There is not one video I watch that I have either a smile or chuckle with the word of the day. I wish Tom would play a little more as I find it relaxing. I saw your video clip singing, and I was most impressed. Thank you for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week. Cheers from NZ
Missed the live but watched the replay! Absolutely gorgeous cards Gina! What a beautiful effect the gilded gold gives! I will definitely try this technique!❤
I can't even tell you just how much I love these 2 cards. And the edge embossing of the stamps - amazing! Thanks so much for sharing with us. You are inspiring!
Well we have a wealth of "Tim-isms" (you TIm Holtz fans know what I mean), and now I think we have a new GinaK-ism.... "if there's not black on my card I walk away going 'did I even really make a card? lol'' Maybe it's because I just woke up and haven't even finished my first cup o' joe, but that just cracked me up!!! LOL Beautiful elegant card as usual, Gina!!! Love the gilded edges technique!
When embossing, in addition to the ink not being dry and grabbing the powder, I had an experience with Versafine Ink (the colored ones) being so wet that I think they raised the fibers on the paper permanently, which then grabbed the embossing powder. I was never able to emboss a pattern on top of my perfectly dark brown truffles, even two days later!
I’m making this comment while watching the replay so I haven’t watched it yet but I will comment again at the end when I see the cards I just wanted to say that I noticed that in the picture from Vicki Donnelly with the art and stationary store that she also had a craft roulette wheel over to the left side of the sign and I’m wondering if maybe that doesn’t have to do with the fact that you’ve been on craft Roulette. It could also be, of course, indicative of the color wheel, but I choose to think it’s about craft roulette, because I absolutely love that show and I am addicted to it and I love when you’re on it!
Gina, another great session, thanks! While you created the rose background, there was an exchange during the live about stamping first vs. embossing first. And there was also the mention of using the Versamark pen instead of a cube. I keep thinking that stamping first, you could apply the pen to the (thoroughly dry) stamped image, thus having more control over where exactly the gilded edge will be. Any thoughts on that?
•Please bring back Tom on guitar. I’m sorry for whoever complained, but maybe there is another solution. •I’m disabled, with 4 head injuries and Auditory Processing Disorder. •Sometimes I even have to leave events because of brain effects. •But when I’m having trouble with a video, I turn on the captions, and turn down the sound to silent. Then I turn the playback speed down to 25%, 50%, or 75%, whatever works for the action. •I can live without the sound, but see all the action, at whatever speed works best. Those settings are found in the little gear icon ⚙️. When I’m done with that video, I put the playback speed back to normal. •This works for me for any uncomfortable sounds on a video, and I hope it would work for whoever has complained. •But like Tom said about the watercolor brush, ‘It’s not the plane, it’s the pilot.’ •Maybe the issue belongs to that person. •As a disabled person, I do ask for help when I need it. But if there is another solution I can personally arrange, I do that, like I mentioned about the captions and change of speed. •I think it’s time to bring back Tom’s guitar for all the people who appreciate it, not take the music away from everyone because of one type of issue, that can be handled another way. •If there are any haters, I hope they will just not see this comment. •I deal with being disabled every day, that’s plenty. •But Tom on guitar adds so much to the show, and I hope we can get his music back. •Thank you for considering trying this. 🌷💜🦋🌈
Hi Gina, I had the song “we’re painting the roses red” from Alice in Wonderland going round my head space, whilst watching this tonight. Made me chuckle. Anyway, are you going to sell the modern roses stamps and dies separately from the All Things Spring kit, as that has already sold out? It’s really beautiful. Xx
We won't be restocking the kit, but we will be making all of the kit products available in our next release. I used innocent pink card stock for the card base. It's so pretty with the carnation inks!
I think the Misty should be available for lefties. Because then it would open like a book and I think that honestly most people probably use it like a book even though the numbers are upside down and backwards. I don't pay attention to the numbers
Pretty. I might add a vase or planter inside cage.
Always enjoy going back and rewatching techniques.

I use the Misti the way you do, Gina; however, I believe it's because I'm left handed! LOL
Hello from New Zealand
Beautiful cards and floral set!! Thank you for sharing!!

Missed the live but watched the replay! Absolutely gorgeous cards Gina! What a beautiful effect the gilded gold gives! I will definitely try this technique!❤

Watching replay. Sorry I missed your live presentation.

Very impressive ❤
Also rub a dryer sheet over your hair? This is a double trick, but smells great & gets the static out!?
Matt Dillon, Miss Kitty, Festus - great show

Good evening to you also !
Good night !
What dies do you use for card bases. The tiny black boarder I love
I used the Master Layouts 2 die set. ❤
Xx
Yes, they will be available a la carte during our March release. ❤
🇨🇦QUESTION - When you say you are using a 1/4 piece of cardstock, are you using 8.5 x 11?
Yes, a quarter sheet of 8 1/2 x 11. ❤
Can someone tell me when in March the items are available to buy individually , please .
The end of March. We don’t have a date yet but our next release will be near the end of the month. ❤
Thank you Gina . I’m after the stamp set with the flowers you now use at top of your page .@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV
Tom or Gina- what color pink is the base of the card?? Fixing my order now- but so sad that the kit is out of stock- will you be restocking it?
We won't be restocking the kit, but we will be making all of the kit products available in our next release. I used innocent pink card stock for the card base. It's so pretty with the carnation inks!
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV thank you- I’m definitely going to order those rose stamps and dies-
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV ordered what was available- can’t wait to get the single die and stamp set!!!
Birthday wishes
I think the Misty should be available for lefties. Because then it would open like a book and I think that honestly most people probably use it like a book even though the numbers are upside down and backwards. I don't pay attention to the numbers
I’m right handed but I open mine like a book and lift it from right to left because I like to stamp with my right hand
I always use it like a book, opening to the left. The numbers…I just ignore them. Lol
I miss Tom…bring Tom back in the dead space!
He's there! He had a word of the day as well!
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV I heard him but not his strumming of his guitar!
may I beg you to offer your kits via subscription, please, by the time I hear of them they are always sold out, which is frustrating
That’s cross stitch!!
So so pretty!
