I don't understand "the hammer" either. The way she describes it, the hammer is just the opportunity to win the game outright by throwing the disc into the can without an assist. She describes it like it is an advantage to the 2nd team because they can always come back from a crushing defeat by throwing a hammer at the last instant. But the first team has the chance to throw that exact same shot too, but before the second team does. And because that throw is an "instant win" it seems like the 1st team has a better chance of winning because they could win the game even before the 2nd team throws a single disc. The 1st team clearly has the advantage.
If you google the official rules it’s described like last batts in baseball. So if the team that goes first gets to 21 points the Team who won The Hammer has a chance to come back and win. It’s not clear how many chances they have though.
Bruh I love KanJam products so much. Here in India we have the Rip Disc and my village has the number one team in our district!

I’m not understanding what “the hammer” is exactly???? So 1 team of 2 people plays and then the opposing team of 2 plays after?
