Field Work: Simplex 4100ES Horn/Strobe Test

Kind of an odd system! I don't know what this panel replaced, but I do know it was an old conventional Simplex panel. These un-synced Wheelock devices are native to the system. Unfortunately I don't have a video of this section of the building, but the pool area has new weatherproof TrueAlerts which I wish I could've seen in action and taken a picture, unfortunately I did not do either.

I see you’re testing uh electronic horns well can’t believe that is non voice evacuation tones and messages. And yes these old wheelock are not synchronized which might cause epilepsy seizures.

Odd alarms for a Simplex panel

Some installers did buy equipment from other alarm companies even though the heart of the system is Simplex Wheelock was common for that but there are others. Before he took his videos down twoplyboy had a Simplex 4010 test where the NA's were SpectrAlert Classics. Weeatherdan's videos are still up take a look at his videos of the fire alarms going off at University of Albany. The pull stations, annunciators, main panel, key switches, etc were all Simplex but the NA's are all Wheelock. Bells, AS horn/strobes, and even E70 speaker strobes in the buildings with a voice evacuation system.
