    Without Lemeaux, there would not be a Penguins, without Jagr, there would not be a Penguins in Pittsburgh, and without Lemeaux, Jagr and Crosby, we wouldn't have a heritage in the greatest sports town in the country.

      A quick Google search could've helped you spell Lemieux correctly. If you're going to praise him, might as well respect him enough to spell his name right haha.

      Spell check auto corrected me apparently. Sorry, all fellow Pittsburgh fans.

      With all that talent, I would have liked to see a few more cups, particularly in the 90s (and there's never been one won at home 😢)

      If Jagr didn't get traded when he did, I'm sure the Pens wouldn't have gotten Malkin and Crosby.

      And Mario said it himself - I have NEVER seen two players who had the kind of chemistry with each other that Mario and Jaromir did. Have watched hockey for decades; never saw 99 have that kind of chemistry with anyone he played with, and I’ve never seen it since. We Pens fans were so blessed to be able to watch The Greatest Duo in hockey history together - it will always be Mario and Jaromir - 66 & 68 😎

    Jagr and Mario inspired me to play the game. I grew up on a lake so ice was available. I laced up at 6yo. I was 16 by the time Jagr was drafted. Incredible players and inspirational. 68!

    JAROMÍR JÁGR je borec světových parametrů z České Republiky. Čest a slávu jemu, za to, co dokázal a udělal pro hokej!!! A doufám, že ty všechny pěkný kočky byly a jsou na něj hodný....

    One of the greatest talents on ice ever. And so strong and unbelievably resilient too. His number 68 commemorates Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968.

    • @siobhanofarrell4646

      They called him Gino Casino, if I remember correctly, because Jaromír was good at playing cards. Mama Jágr taught him.

    • @siobhanofarrell4646
      @siobhanofarrell4646 25 днів тому

      @@SupplementalSense Jarda was called that first - because he was a Card Shark! If I remember correctly - they called him Gino Casino. 😁 I can’t remember who first began calling him Jags. Czech teammates would call him Jarda at times.

    I've been a Jagr fan my entire life from back when I was 6-years-old wearing 68 to now. I've never in my life heard anyone EVER call him Geno? Who has ever called this guy Geno? Just seems weird to me that I never heard it before.

    if 99 never left the oilers. we wouldnt be talking about the pens cups

    • @canadasugardaddysugardaddy1797
      @canadasugardaddysugardaddy1797 8 місяців тому

      That is so true. As much as I like the Pens team with Jagr and Lemieux, if 99 was still with the Oilers, zero chance this Pens team would beat the oilers all legends team.

    • @xlr0gd205
      @xlr0gd205 8 місяців тому +2

      stop it, Oilers were past their primes, you really believe Gretzky would turn sweeps to Stars and Hawks into series wins?

    • @paulbelamour8042
      @paulbelamour8042 2 місяці тому

      They were not past their primes. The rangers cup team in 94 had 7 ex oilers all playing prominent roles in the cup run. So yes, I agree if Gretzky stuck around the oilers, the oilers would have won 3-4 more cups.
