Good Morning, Tom, I've downloaded the Iambic master and I like how you can change the speed of the bug with this program and getting those numbers to practice right. I can actually see what I am sending and spacing which makes a lot of differences when I'm sending CW mode. 73 TNX mate for your sharing it's a big help.
I have the winkeyer set up and installed the software, I am seeing my key strokes on the screen but i am not hearing the side tone, i have no idea why can you help?
Check the speaker inside the box perhaps? Someone mentioned when I built mine there was a sticker I left on it? Is the speaker wired up correctly inside the Box? Also check your computer audio settings. Sometimes there are multiple outputs on your computer for the speakers in the computer, or external, or even inside your monitor. Try several different things. However, I can hear sound directly from my Winkeyer box when I touch the buttons.
That is an awesome tool! I've tried using an app on my phone to "listen" while I key (not transmitting). But, it does not always work correctly. I might need to look into this. I need to work more on decoding though....I still get lost, especially when I am still learning the abbreviations and "slang", format, etc. (wow...7 thimbs up, one thumbs down and I have the first comment...)
Ron C not sure why a thumbs down the title is exactly what's in the video. Anyway I hear you. I recommend finding a way to listen and decode. I use a phone app and I used a voice recorder thing and I recorded various speeds of cw
Ron C I still feel like I have a long way to go... it is simply a matter of time. I know if I spend more time doing it I'll get better. I still am not conversatioanal. Still feels awkward. I want to feel comfortable. Still need more practice! It's a cool hobby. I'm still amazed that one can communicate with a wire a battery and a tapping. It's magical
I would like to better at understanding morse code but i want find the software, thx for about it but is there anyway to use this program with keyboard? (i am a not adult so i cant buy it could u pls answer my question)
Thanks for the video. Can Iambic Master be used with a straight key, and if so, how is it set up?

Thanks for the great comment. Reassures me that I'm on the right track. Good luck and have fun that's what it's all about.
Where is the video of the kit build you mention? Can the software be used with the ham radio solutions usb interface dongle?
This video was taken a long time ago, I'm not sure now. Tnx for watching.

Set a goal of 20 minutes a day 2x or 3x. Consistency and duration is the key
I know , I know...I've got a ton of excuses. Thumbs up, thumbs down....YT sees either as interaction so either of them is a plus, actually.

So true. Morse code is an awesome tool to know. I'd like to be able to get into a "rag chew", but I'd rather just make the simple QSO and move on.
Good video. I would suggest a link to the actual Lambic Master cw practice downloadable software. Perhaps I overlooked if there is a link?
Thanks, Bob. I thought I put a link in there, I will see.
Can you tell iambic master hey only use these letters. So as you learn you can increase the number of letters it uses for the message??

@@hamradiocq I contacted the person responsible for Iambic master, he says that in the latest version that feature is in there.
Is that a Kent keyer. Looks like mine.
Amazing, can you help me to set this up?
First, buy a Winkeyer and put it together. See my video: ua-cam.com/video/zNz6KAdioDs/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot
