My partner grew up with an abusive neglectful mom. He’s a hard working blue collar man his papa raised him on tractors. But when he was a teen he was doing what he had to do to survive in pheonix. Became someone, worked with ppl at the top, ran for them. He slept in trap houses on piles of dirty clothes, small couches if there was one. They loved how he looked like a preppy lil white boy and could go for hours driving etc and never touched his product. Just liked weed. Now he’s starting his own business at 23 as a jack of all trades. I’m fucking proud of that man. Songs like this remind me of what he went through and how hard he works at breaking the cycle he was born into.
Reminds me alot of myself. Thought i got a couple decades on him and happy I put that life behind me I hope he has too and has success with his business.
