This reminds me of German reunification, which caused their economic problems of the 1990s. I think, if reunification was done slower it would been better for the economy. But that's just my opinion. However, low birth rate, throughout western economic nations, has been a problem for decades. I don't know if reunification would solve low birth rate. I say that because of other eastern Asian countries such as Japan. But your video does bring valid points to the discussion table.
