Prachi is correct about dhapate being another version of thalipeth. There's only 1-2% difference between the two.
typically it is called "dhapate" NOT "DHAPATA"

What you had was dhapate and not thalipeeth. Because thalipeeth (aka bhajani che thalipeeth) is made from dough of roasted grains & pulses and roasted basic spices, whereas dhapate is made from mix of various grain flours. That's the basic and foremost difference.
