Lmao yeah volvo technicians and designers sat round a table in 1989 "right lads we need to develop a family estate car to absolutley kill it in the banger car scene in 25 years time"
I'm an American fan of Demo Derby here in U.S. They do hit hard, but not really fast enuf to quite hit THIS hard.I wonder if some of these drivers are seriously injured??these impacts are brutal.
@@spitonitwreckingcrew9971 i only know of 1 death in the recent past, and that was because someone got out of his car while the race was stil going on. Most a sore for a few days after, especially their muscles tend to get a proper beating from it, and some bruises here and there. But other then that the ambulances along the track tend to stay empty, or they get filled with people that drunk to much watching the race.
Back when I ran demo derby in Ohio we hit pretty damn hard. Back then though we had big cars and big block engines. Can't tell you how many times I got hit in my 67 Chrysler 300 and saw the ground because I got hit so hard it about turned me over. Funny as hell one night I had a co pilot running around in there with me as a mouse came along for the ride. I finished third with him in there but he was scared to death 🤣
Great bit of editing. Some great hits. Was at the aldesrshot bears vs poshwash. And everyone gets out and shakes hands after.Jackstar is one big hitter.Actually all the Reynolds (3litre) hit hard. Can't beat a wrecking train.Good to see the marshals keeping a good eye on the drivers as the wreckage builds. Thanks for a great production.
They have a roll cage but not like the typical car. From what I’ve heard and read the cars are built in a way to crumble how they do. But around the driver is a heavy duty cage that goes directly behind the seat thru the middle of the car. I’m not sure about any support like a cage in front of the driver tho.
@@azridersnation8154 thank god they have those protections into the car, their cars receive massive hits. Obviously, we need more fun in Argentina, we do not have that kind o races hahahaha. But thank god exists TC 2000, is very exciting, here is like the Argentinian NASCAR, because it is a tradition here. I recommend to search for a full race and then told me about how much did you enjoyed it haha (they race with ford, Chevrolet, dodge and Torino)
The cars' front crumple zones absorb much of the impact, while the roll cage protects the driver from getting crushed. Even so, most likely the drivers are all sore and bruised after the race (even days after).
You have to wonder how much metal is in some of those cars , body filler and rust flying everywhere !!! Not to mention they way they crumpled. Top video cheers from Australia
@@bernzie001 I have not sped up any footage, the different camcorders I have used over the years have varied shutter speeds which cause some footage to appear faster than others as these clips are over 5 years apart.

I had a friend that had basically made his own junkyard that had quite a few cars. Enuff that he could put together a dozen or so running vehicles. He asked us all several times if we wanted to have a demo derby. He'd supply the vehicle all we had to do was make our own safety gear. Which knowing these guys half wouldn't have even worn a helmet, unless they were sober. I volunteered. What the hell, free car, a chance to destroy something and a new twist on getting drunk. I'm game. Plus his family owned more than a thousand acres, we definitely had room. But alas, we all got too old to do something that fun. SAD.
This looks like a great way to take out years of built up road rage. And by the looks of it if your not out there to cause a fatal injury your doing it wrong 😂. Also how come the rear of the cars collapse so easily?
isnt it a rule that you should at least not crash into standing cars on purpose? even if all this is about total destruction there should be some kind of safety. But its still awesome but only so long as nobody gets seriously hurt.
Max Nuber yeah in Australia we have smash up derby rules that say you can not hit motionless cars. These drivers are usually relaxed and when hit can snap bones and especially their necks.
The people with the red flags aren't doing near a good enough job. When somebodys drivers side is open to other cars to slamming into it at the speeds they were going someone could easily die.
This looks deadly.. i mean I love watching enduro races and demo derbies but this seems like a one way ticket to chronic neck/back pain
Enter on your own risk...:)
Noone care if you broke something.
For real!
They made wreckfest into a real thing oh my god
Lol
Dear god it is true
Lol they turned the real thing into a video game you mean xD
ACEGAMER120 wooosh
What’re the graphics like on wreckfest? Is it worth the buy
So thats where all the old volvo estates went..
CRG 92 yea this shit is hard to watch
Eh, its what theyre built for

Most of the time, they have a whiplash, or a few bruises.
So overall no serious injuries
Man that's almost hard to believe with some of these lol. Looks fun as hell but I think ill stick to derby.

2:54 either a 240 or first gen supra
Thats an mk3 supra
Ho do they make the front ends of those cars so sturdy? Or is it just because everything up to the drivers seat has bee taken out of those cars?
"Hold my ARCA brakes"
You are stressed a lot in work?No problem, grab junk car and crash to some other cars:)
3:36 That was stong hit,he fly 1 meter:)
Similar to watching F1 nowadays with Verstappen, Vettel, Grosjean and Gasly behind the steering wheel in 2018/19.
Are there ANY parts left on a car after i gets crashed so hard?
(That you can use in another car)
The nuts :)
At 3:37 is that guy killed in the last car. My god that’s a crash that would rattle your back teeth. I felt that over here in Australia 🇦🇺 😂
Never seen so many station wagons becoming compact cars . HARD HITS ..SEE YOU AT THE HOSPITAL

I give you, Wreckfest in real life.
What's the purpose? Do you get points for hitting?
Believe it or not the point is to cross the line first! You can wreck or race or both! Some times there is a cash prize for biggest hit!
Is this a demo derby of raceing
So how does somebody win? Is it a crash scoring system or something?
Apparently, you have to win the race but you also get a cash reward for causing the biggest hit.
How to instantly lose brain cells:
Surprisingly, after each race their IQ goes up 1-3 points....
Just brilliant
these people obviously don't have back trouble...not yet anyway
I don't understand how that first one wasn't attempted murder

Me: What ??

Where is this?
Carter Schultzen probably somewhere in Europe
Do ppl get injured doing this?! Lmao....brutal impacts.
Did they intentionally destroy their car?
No, they accidently entered it in the race.
