Why's that?
😂 who care dude I love my Yamaha zuma 4 real I wouldn’t give a F** who saw me on it
My question is, do you pre-mix the two-stroke gas with the oil in it? Because I haven’t been doing that and it’s starting to bog down a little bit??
@@Rellowoods32788 second your question
No pre mix on stock 2 stroke zuma. They have autolube, just top off oil tank every 5-10 fill-ups.
I have had my Zuma since 2003. Basically, if you take good care of it, it will take good care of you. On sunny weekends in Florida, my sister and I (Which she also has a 2003 Zuma) would drive for miles on the many scenic roads available. Road trips averaging 200 miles or more. Top speed is 45 MPH. (50, if your a skinny person) Gas consumption is 85 miles per gallon. The gas tank holds 1 1/2 gallons. So we enjoy a full days of road trip and hardly use any gas. Makes for a real pleasant and cheap ride. I wouldn't give it up for the world.
The Zuma would also come in handy on days that are just to sunny and pleasant to commute to work in my car, so therefore, I ride my Zuma to work. My workplace allows me to park the bike indoors.
And finally, if you like to watch the 4th of July fireworks. You can park front and center for the best view. When the fireworks is over, it's a real breeze to beat out the car traffic and get back home in a timely manner. 😁
Listen to this guy, he is right. Go get one asap!
Bought a 2006 BWs50 2 years ago. Was some of the best money I ever spent. For me it feels like driving a trail bike on the road but its legal!!!!
The police do not see me as a concern and never bother me, and most of the folk around here cant help but smile when they see it.
Pure joy.
Fantastic scoot. Fun and quite reliable stock. Im a big guy, and the hand-foot -seat is comfortable. Tops out at 42 but gets there pretty quickly for a fiddy.
I love my Zuma for the 20 minute ride to work and back.
The man is back! Zuma to the moon!
Red flames on it from the factory 🔥
I bought a bws50,zuma here in Canada for my 65th bday in the spring of 2020. I’ve got just over 16,000 kms on it,I’ll have 18 on it come winter. It’s been flawless…I take everywhere. A 200 km ride is the norm= 120 miles. The throttle is almost always wide open and it hasn’t missed a beat. If anyone is considering getting into the scooter world, you won’t find a better product, period. It’s the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I could sell it tomorrow for a profit…they are really one of Yamahas best engineered marvels. There is a girl in town closing in on 40,000 kms without any issues. Need I say more.
I have a 2016 Zuma 50 fx. I almost didn't buy it when I found out it was made in taiwan. This was my seventh summer not a problem yet.
@@jeffmacey6482 Is that the four stroke model? if so how is it for power?
@@bobloblaw204 3 valve 4 stroke. top speed around 42 mph. I did not remove the speed restrictor. 3.8 the pounds of torque 4.8 horse power.
Fellow Canuck here. I live in the boreal forest Precambrian Shield of Northern Saskatchewan. I ride my 2018 Yamaha BWs nine months in a year. The ice roads on Lac La Ronge are so much fun. I have ridden 400 kms in one day. I like to break up a long ride into two days if possible.
I was going to sell it this spring. Then I read your comment. I okay now. I won’t be selling it. My other scooter is an Piaggio Beverly 250. I’m 73 and finding it too bulky to really enjoy. The new Yamaha 125!looks appealing.
I just got one for free it has 95 miles on it. 2008. When do i add oil to it ? Every gas fill up or what ? 2 stroke ?
My 2019 Zuma 50 just rolled 4,500 miles. I love it.
You failed to mention genuine roughhouse and also kymco super 8. 4. Stroke I had kymco for over 10 years. The same bike.Had not had any problems. I think that speaks for the quality of kymco scooters
Kymco is also a Taiwanese motorcycle company, not Chinese or Japanese.
KYMCO has made engine for B.M.W. and othrz
2017 Garage kept. Everyday rider. 10,000 mi no Valve adjustment, No belt or clutch issues. Fuel injection solves 99% of performance issues on most scooters. It's always the carb. Lol. But yeah, great reliable start everytime scoot. Just change the oil and that's it. Will go forever.
Great bike, have a 2009 one and love it!
so glad you dont modify your scooter. keep them stock and they will last for many years.
thank you
if you stick with NON ETHANOL gasoline.. it will run forever no issues.
There is an old picture of Hulk Hogan riding one of these in this same color scheme haha. I recently acquired an ‘05 in silver, great ride, kick starts with one kick, always.
Best exhaust header for 2009 zuma 50 ? Or any other recommendations get more power & speed? Thanks !
The new Zuma is a 125cc. What year is that Zuma and do you know when they increased the motor size?
I believe they still make the 50cc but added the 125cc to the line up at some point
The 50 is not available in Canada. Only the 125 is sold here.
Excellent video. Happy to have discovered it.
Had 50cc up until 2011. Then went to 125cc.
you can find cheaper zumas now i cant find a cheap rukus thats cheap withen 200miles of me
Yamaha and Honda have all the media, but the Piaggio Fly 50 and Buddy 50 are right there also. I had a 2012 Fly and my friend the 2010 Buddy. I got itchy for a bigger scoot eventually. Never went more than 30-40 miles one way, because we trailered them out to the rural areas where the scenery and traffic was a lot better for 30mph cruising. Both were rock solid, but would not recommend for a lot of big city suburbs, where traffic flows heavy and regular at 45 mph.
I’m considering buying and 02 Zuma with 4400 miles, he’s willing to do $900. Is it worth it?
I have one, bone stock, its the third one I have owned , every time I have sold one I have been sorry I did. great little scooters, goona keep this one, looks just like yours.
How fast is it?
I have a 2013 50cc and it barley goes 37mph
Around town i'm always taking the wifes and leave my Concours parked.
Zip in and out of traffic with ease, twist and go, and I can just ride it unlike my 650 pound Kawi where you have to plan everything.
Turns heads as well...
Fun little machine for sure.
id say you should change the name to what to expect when you buy a 50cc scoot just for the simple fact everything you said about this is true with all scoots take care of them they work just fine and will last years make sure to adjust valves twice a year oil and gear oil changes trickle charger for the battery and scoot will last for ever
Hands down the 2 stroke Zumas are better than the Rucks
Is 2 cycle or 4 cycle oil??
This one is a 2 cycle engine but I believe the newer ones are 4 cycle
I have a 2015 I actually have 2 of the same they have fuel injection they work good in cold weatwe
Whats the differences between this and honda ruckus, which is bette mr and cheapr
Apparently I need to register it, insure it, and have m1 license in california. I got a clean one 2300 miles for 800 but I'm giving it back
I’ve heard some places are like that, with that effort I personally would get a dual sport or motorcycle. Sorry to hear about that experience in California.
In Portland we modify the heck out of these. I have one that’s all built and it’s fun as hell.
Any chance your mods were done at Scooter Swap Shop... I Subscribe to them on youtube . Wish they were close to me in Western NC.
I got a the scooter the same as yours but I upgrade it into 150cc and it runs fast no issue the ya.aha is so reliable easy to fix
1. 30 mph
2. 90 mpg
3. 35 mph down hill 👍🏻
The yamaha Zuma is awesome, I have a blue one (well I bought for my daughter) 49cc 2 cycle and just so fun for the short commutes and running errands, and also used it to teach my daughter to ride, now we need another Zuma, I have been looking but no luck yet but, I will find me one. We also ride it together, pulls us around just fine to have some fun!!!! Just an awesome scooter 💯 I like the black one, very cool 👍👍
Hey I just got a yamaha zuma 2011 and I cant seem to find a kick start where is that located?
I am not familiar with that year model but if you can’t find it then I assume it is electric start only.
50cc transport is definitely a great one too
II just got Yamaha Zuma and. It actually runs pretty good after. do some work to it. It's a 2008 I wanna check the brakes and change the battery and. Tighten it up some. , it's a 50CC. I'm waiting to get a manual, and then I'll get started.
Tzip 💯
How long does a 2 stroke usually last? Are parts still available for full engine rebuild? I like the looks of the Roketa, the Zuma 50cc clone but hate Chinese quality.
40 hours
Just bought a low mile Zuma
The ultimate beta male vehicle.
That's a cool little scooter
You should do a Zuma/TaoTao comparison video!
There is NO comparison between Japanese and Chinese motorcycle companies.
Lol that's funny
Hi, I have a 2008 Zuma w/ over 12k miles. I bought it to use a festivals, rode it hard in the dirt conditions & it starts first kick nearly every time. Has had a little work done replacing the fork boots, leaking oil reservoir. I did upgrade the exhaust, the jets & did a mod on the throttle stop. Top speed went from 32 mph to 38-40mph. I’m a 265lb rider & feel comfortable in local traffic . Hands down the easiest, & most fun 2 wheel ride I own.
Just bought one yesterday for my teenage kids and wife, she wanted to ride it home (about 5 miles) from where we bought and since I already ride a street bike she had a bright pink helmet and a samed color jacket, so halfway she is uncomfortable and doesn't want to continue riding it.. so what do we do? We'll yes, you're damn right I put on that pink helmet and rode the crap outta that little scooter on the way home lol. The looks where hilarious 😂 here's a 5' 11" muscled tattooed dude riding a small scooter down the road. lol best experience ever!!
The Zuma is a fantastic scooter but after test riding the 50 cc I ended up getting the 125. HIGHLY recommend getting the 125 ! No comparison !!!
I would have to agree the 125 is better but in my state you have to register, insure and have a motorcycle license for anything over 49cc so at the 125 I might go one step more for a smooth ride motorcycle
Valad point and thanks for your comment. I have owned many motorcycles of all different sizes and still love the Zuma 125. The advantage i like is under seat storage and the ability to put items on the floor area between your legs , like groceries. Also the automatic is great in traffic. It just depends on your needs! Ride safe and have fun !!!@colinsview
@@paulb2769 the “trunk” is one big thing the zuma has over that type of thing, very true!
Can you do long rides
Thanks for this video. What would you expect somebody pay for this scooter used?
I paid 800 today for one with less than 200 miles on it.. some old guy who only took it to the mailbox so it never left his driveway.. there is a huge aftermarket for these got a new exhaust, got the 70cc upgrade kit, new carb intake and stretch kit bc like you said they're super reliable and all the mods are bolt on so it's a great candidate for a daily modified scooter
@@Dankdayz707 Thank you very much for your reply. You reminded me I need to be looking at scooters instead of worrying about switching to iOS or Android, lol, there are bigger fish to fry here.
$2000...440miles...2005??!!.😅
I love mine I wish it had a kickstart.
Just bought a yamaha razz 1992 1900 miles and i payed 600$ fuckin mintt
I had a 2004. Didn’t think it was comfortable, didn’t stop me from taking a few overnight trips on it. I eventually bought a Zuma 125 because people drive too fast here.
I completely agree with the speed, my least favorite thing is being passed by cars speeding on the backroads.
Thanks for the video! I'm considering a 2019 yamaha zuma as my first scooter ☺😊🥰
They are badass scooters I ride like rickey and mater on emmm🃏🤟
so why the Zuma and not a higher cc scoot
In my state there is no registration or motorcycle license required for the 49cc scooters
@@colinsview damn lucky lol.
They have a 125cc model and also you can buy a 70cc big bore kit for cheap
I wasn't sure what year iZuma it is? Did not mention if its a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke. I am more familiar with the old Zuma 2 strokes then the new liquid cooled 4 strokes.
2005 2 stroke, great question!
@@colinsview Thank you.
Gotta put a variator kit on it
Acceleration
Top speed
Wheelies
Thanks for this!
Hi, is this allowed on parkways? Thanks
Some dude gave me one for free off the side of the road today so I'm trying to see if it's worth keepin
I love driving mine!
My 2012 Zuma just hit 14k miles
Woo!
Wait I thought this was Colin Vanning Vlogs
Ruckus for young crowd but Zuma for mature owners
Not necessarily. I have a few friends who are in their 40's and 50's that have a Ruckus.
How well do these fit tall people? I'm 6'3"
Not very well... I'm 6'1", and I have to add my own design of Highway Pegs that are attached to the bottom of the curve on the main down rail of the frame. I attached the full through length bar/peg set with grade 5 U-bolts and lock nuts, after I took measurements and used a hole saw to cut into the floor pan plastic, so it looks factory installed.
love the zuma
I love mine but Yamaha did not design them well, all someone has to do to steal it is literally unplug and take off the key ignition. Happend to mine i Evan had the weel lock on but if they break the plastic and just unplug it it’s going to start for them
What year was yours?
@@OscarLachapeli have a Vento zip r3i turbocam moped 2t
3:05 “not a lot of people modify these” you must not know that most do lol
2 stroker or B U S T!!!
