Funnily enough, Cheryl Lynn (who did the original Got To Be Real) did a track called Sweet Kind Of Life for Shark Tale (which this Mary J tune was on the soundtrack). Check it out, it's awesome! It's worth noting that Blige has a history of covering songs from this era. Whilst they may not be as good as the originals, she is one of the best talents of our generation and I can't help but admire how her influences and love for tracks like Got To Be Real and Let No Man Put Asunder give us her take on them. She's right up there with the very best we've seen, in terms of raw talent, yet she's fairly underrated because she isn't a typical popstar.
