Hey flinter, just to clarify u get steam achivments for only competing story missions, side missions aren't essential for that. Anyway congrats for doing everything :D

Yeah, but have to add, that it also depends on the reserve.
For example, on Hirschfelden and Layton you only receive achievement for completing story missions, but in other reserves, like Yukon or Cuatro Colinas, completing the side mission arcs also give achievements. ;)
Btw, I also completed these last ones in Layton recently.

I feel better hearing I'm not the only one that thinks coyotes are a pain. Finishing a coyote mission is the most satisfying accomplishment in the game for me.
Some more good ol missions! I remember when cotw first came out the bear missions were so bad haha

Last night I killed my first diamond turkey and my first diamond Pronghorn. The pronghorn scored 101.8 and was a dark fur variation. I'm pretty stoked about the pronghorn because as soon as I knew the dark fur type existed, it turned into my dream diamond.

Hey Flinter! Quick question, I've been playing for about a year or 2 now and was just wondering if you NEED to do the game quests in order to find rare animals and diamonds (ex. Albinos, the great one) or can I just free play as usual and find them very rarely
You've been playing for 2 years and don't know the answer to that?

I cannot get coyotes to drink at the lake at 5:30. Need that for one of the earlier missions

Did they buff coyotes? It never is as easy luring them in as it seems from your video. They often take a detour and I hear footsteps but they never come out of the high grass, and I can't pinpoint their exact location. Wind in my favor, scent remover, lure, prone, stationary - only very low levels come close enough for a bow shot, and even getting them into that range is quite difficult to me.
But granted, I don't drink zone hunt a lot because it's not a challenge to me, so I'm trying to figure out how to hunt them in the forests. If I see a warning call and the wind is in my favor then I try to lure it into a position where I have the high ground, or where there's a clearing where I will be able to spot it. But they don't come straight to me like they did to you. They flank so that they're downwind from me, spotting me first, forcing me to relocate and they bolt.
That or in the second scenario where I camp a clearing they just straight up refuse to leave the safety of high grass.

Can I ask if you're from somewhere in the American Southwest, judging by your pronunciation of "coyote"? Afaik there's only a select few dialects that leaves the "e" silent

@@Loading17914 well the correct pronunciation is "ka-yoh-tee" or something to that effect, pronouncing without the e is either done in a select few accents or when people flat out mispronounce it. Comes from a native American language, Nahuatl I think it is. It has nothing to do with what makes sense. Though yotes is a cool nick

Any tips in this game?
i cant for the life of me complete the silent hunt mission. it feels near impossible. I have to down 2 coyotes in balmont with a bow and i can never catch up to any coyotes let alone trying to find one in balmont. and every time ive found one they never come to my caller. even when i can literally see them in front of me they just stare in my direction then move on. Not sure what im doing wrong but its really frustrating
I shot a great one Whitetail and a elk killed me before I could get to it
You should try to get every achievement in the game.

A diamond coyote, diamond bear, and diamond elk, but I got those years ago before I knew what diamonds were
