There is another version of this and they are so different. Ren picks beautiful locations for reverb. Check out one of their originals called Swan Song it is done in the church and it is so beautiful worth a look!
That spot is a former church known as Holy Trinity Chapel, that I think is now (or was then) a museum/art gallery that welcomes having musicians out front. It's one of Ren & friends' favorite places to perform and film. And we KNOW Ren chooses places for their acoustics: witness Hi Ren, Violet's Tale, Chalk Outlines. This is in the Ship Street pedestrian area of Brighton, where many of the smaller streets are blocked to vehicle traffic - busker heaven!
There is a different recording of this set recorded on a different day which Ren's team filmed and recorded using sound from the band's board. You'll discover random vidoes taken/posted by others that are lesser quality.
I think this was done on a phone, see the green wheel barrow in the background they just threw amps in it and pushed it to the place where they were going to busk. love the 2 little guys sitting in front loving it!
Info about the Big Push: three singer/instrumentalists are Ren Gill, Gorran Kendall (acoustic on the is one) and Romain Axisa (lead guitar on this), with Glenn Chambers on drums. All of the three frontmen will sing lead and play a variety of instruments. They all have their own solo careers and are worth checking out, not just Ren. Gorran has a folk-rock vibe, like acoustic guitar and harmonica stuff. Romaine has a really unique pop-rock thing going on. His best solo videos are probably "Goodbye Good Days" (directed by Luke Flegg, who directed Murderer for Ren) and his live busking version of "Georgia on My Mind". If you want more Big Push together, check out their covers of "Bongo Bong" or "Praise You" next.
Yeah, all 4 of them are super talented. Even the drummer sings and plays guitar. Check out The Big Push: Watch Out (live busking). The crowd was REALLY into it and it really featured the guitars. They had just released Watch Out, one of their original songs just 4 days earlier. You might want to also include a hashtag with just REN’s name on it. That seems to be what other reactors do so I’m guessing it helps.
Ren has a super secret recipe to getting that kind of sound out of a live street performance. He's explained it on a few live streams/ interviews he's done. ❤ Gorran Kendall is their Rock God 🤘 And of course you know Romain 😉 🫶 ❤
Great reaction, you are more of an expert than me, I just appreciate his talent and love the vibe of everything Ren does, haven’t heard a bad track yet. One of the best Big Push tracks that will blow you away is the Big Push and RENs mashup...I Shot the Sheriff Road to Zion, Hip Hop.... it’s just amazing and very joyful, you are gonna love it and I’m sure Bob Marley would approve..❤
@StevenDoesReactions bring tissues. Trust me. I'm a grown man played contact sports my whole life. I ride bulls and drink bourbon. I can't hold it together during many of Sam's songs
BTW, for best sound and video quality, grab their busking videos directly off The Big Push channel wherever possible - I'm almost certain a better version this exact performance is available there. Their 'official' busking videos are often filmed by Samuel or Luke, and Ren preps their recording setup meticulously to get more than crappy phone mic audio. There ARE a ton of fan-shot videos of great Big Push performances that aren't available on their channel, particularly on the Brighton Beach Busking channel (and a very fun one just posted recently on the Just Joey channel), but the quality is very hit or miss compared to their own recordings. Enjoy exploring the bliss jams, man!
Love this, reaction Steven. I always think in the first three tracks Ren showboats a bit in the last one and takes away Sam’s limelight when he doesn’t lower the grunge guitar near the end. Sam looks at him not knowing how to compete over the loudness without killin’ his voice. Yet Sam’s voice is amazing isn’t it! The guitar solo in the other video is so dope.
YAY! Finally, lol! I had been trying so hard to get you out of the (admittedly great) rabbit hole of Ren's rapping, that I finally had to have a talk with myself about it, because I could feel myself turning into a nag. So I took a break so as to leave you nagless to move into Ren's other talents/genres on your own time, without me yammering at you about The Big Push, collabs w/Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, et al., Screech and Violet, the mashup mentioned by one of the commenters below, and assorted other delights and mind-blowers. Then I simultaneously got very busy and, for some unknown reason, stopped receiving your notifications, and missed a bunch of your reactions (or so I assume; I've yet to look to see what I may have missed, and start getting caught up). So I just got my memory jogged, came here and found this--so exciting that you're getting so see this aspect of Ren! LOVED the reaction--and my favorite part of your reaction was, as usual, watching it on your face. I don't know, maybe that's my favorite because I see, or imagine I see, all my own thoughts and feelings in response to the music, visuals, etc., showing, like a movie, on yours. One of the things I thought I saw, more than once--and might be way off about-- was your looking for the Devil to put in an appearance so that you could, like Robert Johnson, make a deal with him so that you could make music like Ren and Sam, or at least, make your own kind of music with equal beauty, freedom, etc., and get out everything you feel inside you wanting to get out. Or not, lol-- as I say, maybe that was just me, imagining it (unlike the chills and chicken skin/goosebumps I get every time I hear Sam sing the beginning of "Falling"). Anyway-- thanks for the GREAT reaction, including your usual close, intense focus. And by way of showing my appreciation, I'll abstain from resuming my nagging about all the great RenMusic I'm wanting to see you react to, and content myself with simply nodding at other commenters' requests, some of which are (again, finally, lol) the same as mine. Isn't it amazing how no matter how much of Ren's music you check out, each work bowls you over and has fresh surprises? Bliss! p.s. Forgot to say, re your comment about the acoustics: I believe Ren always chooses his sites--not just his busking sites, but his recording sites-- with acoustics in mind, even unto selecting them scene by scene, at least at times (as in the Trilogy--Jenny/Screech/Violet). As always, I could be mistaken, but that's how it seems to me.
Sams song lose it all Time will fly See me. All need to be seen by you. Ps. Sam almost always comments on reactors reacting to him. Hes a bit busy right now with his tour across the world. But he still finds the time
The Big Push has a super cool cover of Bongo Bong and Fatboy Slim's Praise You. In Praise You, Ren, Gorran, and Romain all sing separately and in 3 part harmonies. Just amazing. There is also Blind Eyed written by Ren and Sam. There's a music video, a live performance for M.C Sessions, and a funny one with the angry car park attendant. There's also a street performance that has the most views. All are worth a watch, but my favorite for musicality is the M.C Sessions one.
I love receiving comments like this. It allows me to select my next reaction videos without going through any of the artists' libraries. I feel like I may accidentally click and watch a bunch of songs without filming. I will definitely be reacting to some of your suggestions.
Pleeeeeease, do Blind Eyed with these to featuring the Angry Car Park Attendant. That's the most feel good you can get without seizing to exist. Just trust me on this. It's a fucking blast! 🖤 Much love From STHLM, Sweden
UK can be reserved dancing on street usually have to be high or drunk 🤣 but we love music 🎶 but Im sure I would had done a bit of moshing all that space...
Sam's doing good he got to sing with his idol Justin Bieber on his stage.. 👏 Happy for him 😊 Justin not really my thing but Sam has excellent voice sing higher than I ever could and I'm female that doesn't wear dresses.. 😉
Actually, yhe dtummer got married and moved to Thailand and is doing computer coding. But the band went their separate ways when Ren went to Canada for treatment.
I think they STOLE that drummer. An architect with acoustic awareness... Those onlookers must not realize his significance (once in a lifetime greatness)
Byw rens looper and pedal as well as speaker and mic all broke at the end of this song. So if it seems off. Thays why. They did another set of mash ups right after this. And all of rens shit was offline
If that's the case, I think he accidentally created the greatest tone that i've ever heard in my entire life. There will never be one like it again. A rare and unique gem captured on UA-cam. That's absolutely terrible and the most amazing thing I've ever heard. I feel very conflicted now.
@StevenDoesReactions understandable. Forget I said it lol. It seems very much intentional. However, when we was trying to tune down or switch pedals it just kept looping so he said fuck it and set it to whatever setting he found and ran with it
13:21 If you listen carefully, the seagulls from the silence in " Violet's tale" make an appearance.
The Brighton Seagulls should be Ren's next song... Or maybe a band name 🤔.. There's no seagull emoji 😭

Ren live loops so get the sounds he wants. You'll see this with his Chinchilla Busking sessions too. ❤❤
I think this was done on a phone, see the green wheel barrow in the background they just threw amps in it and pushed it to the place where they were going to busk. love the 2 little guys sitting in front loving it!
They’re all amazing. 😊
Awesome - You've found Sam 😘🥰
Brighton is a place full of eclectic people and fashion, great place to visit
Definitely need to watch more Busking and big push good vibe 👍
Ren is my favourite artist ever thank you for reacting to this more Ren please ❤❤❤
Gorran Kimdall is another very accomplished musician in his own right.
I love all of Ren's voices, but i think his blues voice is my favorite.

Ren and Sam Blind Eyed surely has to be next - There's the Angry Car Park Attendant version and another Studio Live version - Both great ❤❤

Glad youre finally checking out sam
I think a Sam deep dive is in order...

Great double shot, thank you! Love the channel name change too 💜🦇💚
Welp, I changed my name again, come check out my new music!!

Sam's great but Ren's on another level entirely! :)
Totally agree!

I'm not that far from Canada, But I don't think they're letting Americans in. The US is Canada's Mexico.🤣
I think they STOLE that drummer.
An architect with acoustic awareness...
Those onlookers must not realize his significance (once in a lifetime greatness)
Have you never heard Ren drum?
That guys name is gorran kindall
As a female, (albeit older) i wonder if the men in the audience realise what an effect Ren's voice has, especially in Mans World.😂
They are all individually talented besides the drummer but he is still not a slouch
Well his drummer lives in thialand now married.. So you might have a chance... 🤔
Drumming video incoming ?
Unfortunately, i'm a drummer without a drumset.
