Currently rocking the F5 Pro (12/512) for a week now. Though again, the regular F5 is already a bang for the buck! But if you really want a higher touch sampling rate, wireless charging, good camera performance, 1440p Display and faster overall performance, go for the F5 Pro BUT again, you'll add more for this phone. Straight usage with 1-2 hours of gaming got me roughly 6 and a half hours of screen on time. But on average usage, it lasted me 15 hours. EDIT: Using Default (120hz) gets me 6-8 hours SOT, depending on usage and roughly 15-16 hours overall battery. Using 60hz gets me 7.5-10 hours SOT, depending on usage, and 17+ hours battery. But coming from a Redmi Note 9 Pro and an iPhone 7+ (even from 12 Pro), the performance is REALLY "flagship". I compared this on the 13 Pro Max of my friend and it goes head to head against it, even faster in some areas. In conclusion, Get the F5 if you don't mind a "slower" processor, no wireless charging, no 8K recording, no 4k/60FPS. Get the F5 Pro if you want a "faster" processor, wireless charging, better camera. The winner here? The consumer.
As a gamer, the lowlight camera issues ate not that important well atleast for me, but i agree that the battery life is not that good considering that most of us poco f5 pro users are mostly using this phone for gaming.

My phone plan gave me an rog 7 16gb. I sold it and got Poco f5 pro. I'm pretty satisfied with how I use it. I use my phone to just casually play games and as navigation on my motorcyle. I can't have a rog 7 fall on the road. On the camera side. I'm pretty satisfied with images because I can always edit on Lightroom and the compression on Facebook and messenger is horrendous.
Thermals are a little warmer than rog. I am used to the miui software but rog 7 is a lot cleaner at snappy for me. Miui for me is the problem for Poco, the software side is buggy. Satisfaction is purely based on how you use it. I want a cheaper gaming device, I don't take pics quite often and I am used to miui.
First of all, it a flagship killer because of sdr 8+gen1. Secondly, it much better when you are addicted to gaming. Remember taking f5 is good for daily bases, gaming but not heavy use and a new feel chipset generation only. Even it's a new chipset, the OS and a few game are not fully optimazed yet. If you are addicted for gaming, heavy use, Take F5 Pro cause it has much more optimized processor. Also it can handle a good heat cause it has a big vapor chamber ,only when you are in front of FAN or a low temperatured room. Cause I still scared of death issue to motherboard or Ram. In conclusion, if you have a low budget but want to feel gaming perfomance, pick f5. If you have a good Budget take F5 Pro for long term use,gaming and a good features. I just got my Poco F5 Nov 2023 but sad , it had heating issue like me using it for 10-15 minutes the back is getting warm , that just fb, yt sms tiktk, viber No gaming ,while my old 2 1/2 yr old realme did not have this problem

I'd say splurge and go for the F5 Pro since the SD 8+ Gen 1 is more optimized because it fixes the horrible thermals and a lot of devices have the SOC which means optimized for mainstream mobile games like the ones he listed. Also it's made by TSMC and not Samsung so that's a plus ;D

I wanna ask what did you do to that phone its temps got to 50 degrees? all of the tech reviewers that I saw even long term tech reviews all of them maxed out the graphic settings like you said and they did show it they only had like 40 degrees to 42 degrees on both star rail and genshin impact and on some games the temps didnt even reach 38 degrees and they didn't use any fan coolers your temps was too high

My poco f5pro got power button issue. The phone occasionally restart itself. Sometimes it lock screen itself. Stupid xiaomi. Poor quality. Only 7~9 months of using it.

Ahh yes I have the same problem where apps like UA-cam and tiktok don't run at max refresh, this is probably in the new update of Android 13 MIU 14 since I have the same problem with my Poco X4 GT. All my apps used to run at max refresh before I updated to Android 13 so yeah it's dissapointing

F5. The difference isn’t that noticeable in performance but the battery is significantly better.
It's more a good choice if yoy take poco f5 pro. Because in real gaming, the processor SDR 8+ Gen1 is much powerfuo and have less power consument

Never reached 50 when playing Breath of the Wild or God of War 2 for my Poco F5 Pro. Only 40-ish max. Odd.

I play a game for at least 30 mins. So I really push the phones to their limits until they settle to their comfortable temp.
