I remember that. When Hyundai got into the market, popular brands were only giving 2 years/30000km warranty. Hyundai came with 5 year/100000km. We now learnt that was a guarantee and they stuck to it. That's how I decided on Chery.

I’m so grateful you made this video about the Chery Tiggo 7 pro and actually showed my review about the fuel consumption. One thing I didn’t mention is I used My Tiggo (The Red Beast) for part time Uber driving and this car surprises me all the time with its performance and fuel consumption. I top the tank everyday (it’s just me). And it’s amazingly very economical. Yes unfortunately Australians are not getting that all the well known brands are not offering the cost and benefits that a car like The Tiggo offers for its affordability. All my passengers are very impressed when they step into the car. Buying the Tiggo was the best decision I ever made and selling the MG HS Core was the second best decision. It feels like I went from basic to a higher level of premium and it does feel that way. I think people should just go to a dealer (I recommend Motorama In Springwood if you live in QLD and ask for Andrew).

Mind you at no fault of this reviewer but pays are still the same and yet car prices just keep going up! Doesn't seem fair on anybody if you ask me. It's ridiculous how even for a small car like a Suzuki ignis which is smaller than a swift is priced way above it.

...and that yaris will last you forever and save you a fortune in the long run.
Let's say these cherys go for about 37-46k drive away.
Here's a handful of alternatives that can be had for within that price bracket in this saturated segment:
      skoda kamiq, karoq

      honda cr-v, hr-v, zr-v

toyo yaris cross, corolla cross, rav4

my heart goes out to honest chinese businesses (even though they have the unfair advantage of being the world's factory with access to the world's IP) and I have a bit of respect for chery but they just have to pay for the sins of their father, the ccp, until they stop stalking taiwan and start having democratic elections.
      *gets on soapbox*
what are your hard earned dollars supporting and which weapons is the sales tax funding? the ones that could eventually be pointed over here?
Is your family realy safe in one of these, for the sake of a few bucks?
I think it's not the time to be penny pinching. Either go without or take a bit more time and save that little bit extra for an ethical purchase, which will come with the bonus of quality, safety and reliability. And protection for US!

The only thing that's changed in 10 years is the technology & model range, the reliability is still the same 💩. Go buy one with your own money & live with it for a year & you'll learn that if you need any warranty repairs done, Which you will. You will be waiting 12 months if not longer for them to arrive at the dealership from China, Doesn't matter if it's a small strut top mount or a transmission. • @parallaxcs2
      @parallaxcs2 4 місяці тому +9

Lol, this is not an airport, no need to announce your departure.
First of all, you sound exactly like the people that laugh on Toyota and Kia’s when they first came out thinking that they were unreliable a few decades ago. Give them a few decades and all of a sudden they are leaders in reliability.
Secondly, sure Chery isn’t the most fun to drive or not the most reliable today, but I don’t think many buyers care because the value for money is a greater proposition compared to other cars in that price point.
I don’t know about you but I’d happily pay for repairs on a Chery than a repair on a BMW or Mercedes that costs an arm and a leg just for an oil leak or a new pair of headlights for example. And with that many now on the road I don’t think parts are that difficult to find either.
To generalise and say that all Chinese cars are bad is a very over exaggerated statement, because if that were to be true, I don’t think brands like BYD or MG would make the numbers they are doing today.
Their ICE vehicles aren’t that great but their EVs are shown to be very consistent in quality and and performance, which is why BYD is dominating Tesla and is likely to stay that way for some time and are showing to hold up stronger than ever.
Not saying this to defend Matt’s sponsored post, but spending a decent amount of money on a Chinese vehicle is likely going to get you further than the same equivalent on something like a Ford for 1.5 times the asking price.
Right now these cars remain still a little bit hard to recommend, but in a couple years time I expect that to change significantly.
