- A sad and beautiful song sung by an American singer Joe Romersa, released in 2003, composed by Akira Yamaoka, (山岡 晃), a Japanese video game composer, sound designer, sound director, and video game producer.
This is a fan-made music video, originally loaded on my old YouYube channel, Teiska123, in December 2009. I've edited video clips from the old classic film.
The video is dedicated to those who never had each other, and also to my hometown.

Joe is such an amazing singer, his voice is strong, powerful, dark... He is amazing, that's for sure.

The lyrics were written by Nora Stevens Heath, adapted from a poem by Hiroyuki Owaku, a designer from Konami's defunct Team Silent.
***** Yep, Owaku is the co-writer of SH two and three.
That is incorrect. I wrote these lyrics using one of Owaku's poems as a starting point.

A few people here don't realise the song's about a town called Silent Hill which has roots in the occult and people with sin experience their own hell. The song is more sinister and malicious yet depressing and sad. If people are dedicating this song to their hometown, well your hometown must be a shit tip. For those who have asked this song is the end credits for the game Silent Hill 3.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful song. Yes, it's sad but beautiful. The lyrics are a poem, which I think has a deeper meaning that I don't quite understand. But I felt a sense of sadness and despair. Probably life is just like that sometimes. As always, your movie making is excellent. Thanks again for sharing such a great music video with us. It's a great deep song that I feel it on my skin and in my own life. I left my hometown before to die there. It was the compromise that I made it with my life. Thank you, dear friend, for such an wonderful video. Have always the sun in your soul!:)

Too bad Joe Romersa doesn’t sing more than two SH songs. His vocals suit the genre so well.
Exactly those two lines took my attention too. I think they kept the essence of the whole text. I am strong, thank you.
