    99% of my gear is 18v or 36v makita other than my mowers. Great kit

    Got a load of Makita gear. Great kit! But claiming its all green is obviously false, got to mine the stuff for the batteries and make the rest of the kit somehow... Clean for the operator though.

      As much of a fair arguement you have, I've have 2 Makita batteries that I've had since 2014, I'm a builder they've had heavy use/abuse(I don't hold back). I have friends that use other brands and treat their tools with much more respect and they can't compete on lifespan of the tools and especially the batteries.
      They maybe unsustainable practices to create their batteries, but they undoubtedly have longer lives.

      What do you expect wind up strimmers and solar powered, chainsaws?!?!?.

      @@pingo9105 no doubt Makita quality is up there. Not sure a battery will outlive a two stroke engine though. Esp as engines can be maintained. New gaskets. Air filters etc. swings and roundabouts really.
