  • Joshua Greiner is autistic and has been using spelling methods to communicate since he was 13-years-old. Prior to that he no viable way to communicate and was constantly misunderstood. Spelling became a catalyst to a whole new world of expression, providing him with a sense of community, independence, and hope for his future.

He IS looking. He knows where letters are. Presume competence.

@@marianna6733 it is perfectly plausible that somebody who can't talk and just grunts and moans can use eloquent words...

Did you actually watch and listen to moms description of why she holds his arm. Maybe watch again or watch the stories of others who are finally able to express themselves and show others that they are intelligent people.

He struggles with proprioception, like many autistics. She pushes against the arm to help him feel his body in space.

Help each achieve in the way they need from a trusted person to guide them. Is it better to leave someone alone and dejected because no one is allowed to help them connect their mind and body? Then as they grow in the method they may, like many do, use no physical guidance at all. Let’s support “No More Trauma Practices”

@@johnapellicci3896 Sorry, this is just delussional. Thous messages are not written by the autistic individual but by his intepretter who is just typing what the parrents want to hear. It is very annoying and tragic to watch.

You must be happy for him: he's finally found his voice!
Love from Rome, Jousha, think that in Italy so called experts are still wasting people's time and money with pecs and ABA...
