Why did 5 officers pull over 1 car?
Good question - something that needs looking into. Very unusual.
Often two cops to one car if possible, it provides a lot of safety. Often during a stop especially if another unit is nearby they will stop and observe or help with any traffic. In this case all we know is the individual was stopped, tried to run, was beaten, and died. The two paramedics we're also fired or suspended. Some of the cops might not even be party to the assault but may have failed to report specific details aka cover up. Or maybe when the dude fled more units were called in.
Ultimately we won't know until we see the cam footage. Pretty damning though when the force straight up fires five guys.
He was fleeing after being initially pulled over for reckless driving.

Tragic ending for the victim and his family. Kudos to the homeowner for adjusting his cameras and recording the event. Without it the police department may have swept this under the rug.

That's what I've been saying all along...in the high profile Michael Brown, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor police-involved killings, we can see plain as day that the crimes were committed by non-black cops. Everyone howled that it was driven by racism because everyone could see that it was done by non-black police officers.
I got vilified for suggesting that *maybe* it wasn't racially driven, rather that it happened to be at the hands of bad cops who weren't black, or was actually justified lethal use of force, and that we should look for evidence to suggest that it was done as open acts of actual racism before saying that it is so.
Because unless we know that Darren Wilson, Derek Chauvin, and the ones who broke into the apartment where Breonna was with her boyfriend were actually racist people, the only thing we know is that they used force in the carrying out of their duties and in some cases excessive force was used, with tragic results.
Police using lethal force when it is not necessary is never OK, but I hope the release of this case will give people pause to actually think about if an act was done in the name of being racist instead of just saying that it is because it supports a political or social narrative.
I can’t imagine this happening to my dad, my brother, my nephew, or my son… May they all get the highest punishment possible!

I remember one time a few years ago when the cops in my town got word of a man who had an arrest warrant and was considered extremely dangerous. I remember driving past the scene when the cops were confronting him: 1 fugitive had 6 cop cars surrounding him and at least 10 officers with guns pointed at him.

I watched in horror at the footage on the UK news site. Unbelievable inhuman behaviour. It appeared that Tyre ran because he knew what was coming. When he cried out for his mum, that broke me. I am so sorry and my prayers for him and his family.

Typically firing can happenvery fast. The only exception is if there are union rules to contend with. Often times charges take longer depending on the jurisdiction. For instance some places require the use of a grand jury for certain charges or the DA wants more evidence because once your charge you CAN be on a time limit to gather information but since murder has no statute of monitors it benefits you to make sure the case is rock solid before charging.

Same thing happened to my brother in law in San Bernardino, CA. The DA went to the gas station and took the video evidence. No charges were ever filed. We tried to hire attorneys, but none would take the case. I feel for the young man in this case. Our prayers go out to him and his family.

In the 1960s black cops did just as much racial violence against blacks as any white cop did. The leader of the black panthers of the 1960s was assassinated with the help of black cops. And don't think whites had it much better, if there weren't any blacks to bully around, poor whites were the next easiest target.

As an Australian, I only have one question around this disgusting hateful incident. Why? Why would any human beings do this to another human being? Why does this continue to occur in the USA? Why is there so much hatred and divisiveness in one country? Why can't the American people see this and stand up against it?
I asked myself that same question for decades when I lived there. Then I finally gave up for my own sanity and went somewhere at least slightly saner.
Who hired these police officers? Who trained these police officers? Who created a culture of violence and corruption within the police department? How do WE THE PEOPLE gain control over our police departments? There is no excuse for this behavior practice or procedure.
I'm waiting for "Black Lives Matter" to comment on this. Just waiting...

A LEO is supposed to apprehend and bring to jail. This should have happened here. Instead used excessive force instead. The only time and only time a LEO can end a life is when his or her life is endangered. Once they are in control, they are to stop using force. This is taught in police academy. They went against all training.
