4 months ago I had liver surgery to anonymously donate part of my liver to save the life of a child in end stage liver disease. 4 months on, I’ve had notification from the liver transplant team that the little boy has recovered fully and is disease-free. I was a part of the team of people giving that little boy the chance to live his life and become whatever he wants to be

Fingers crossed for the little girl, hopefully many years ahead 🙂 I’m a live liver donor in the UK, yesterday I was called and asked to come in urgently as there was a patient that was super critical. Got to hospital and after a while, I was notified that a deceased donor liver had been found which was awesome for the recipient. Huge advocate for live donor transplants, please check them out in your country, wherever you are, research the need and if you can, apply to do something truly amazing 🙏

I live in an EU country with free healthcare and everytime i see stories like this i'm speechless.
How a great country like US can charge parents with astronomical bills for trying to save a children with cancer.
Maybe i'm just stupid but it sounds inhuman to me.
It is inhumane and one of the worst things this country allows to happen to its citizens. I can only attribute it to greed and really not doing the right thing and making sure all citizens have their medical needs taken care of. Quit sending tax payer money to other countries and let's take care for our own.

Well i thank all blood donors cause i almost died from Covid and needed 4 blood transfusions to battle a damaged liver as a consequence.
It's sad about what happened to the baby and the family has to deal with

I sometimes get so angry when i see children going through cancer . I lost my mother to bone marrow cancer in 2013 . She'd lived a ling life and was 79 . My heart breaks for zaria and her parents . I am epileptic and due to the fact im on anti seizure medication that goes straight into my bloodstream, and will be for the rest of my life , doctors have told me i can't donate organs or blood due to that medication .
God never said that life would be easy, but He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us and to give us strength to make it through the hard times. He has promised never to leave you or forsake you.
$8,000 won’t be a drop in the ocean for them. Pointless.
