  • A pest control trail, untraveled and unused for six years being cleared and retagged to be worked again.
Although the bird life sounds vibrant and the forest is lush, the area is still inundated with rodents.
    The process to control the pests is simple;
    1. Get the trail up to safe usable condition again,
    2. Regular filling of the bait stations,
    3. The rodents are attracted to the bait, eat it and die,
but the system is labor intensive. It means carrying the bait through the bush and filling each station (plastic container nailed to a tree) by hand.
More videos about working this trail are to follow.
Thanks for watching my vids and for your comments and feedback. If there are any videos you would like to see please ask and I will try to accommodate.
Liking, subscribing and commenting are great motivators and an active way to help me with my channels growth.
    Thanks guys and gals.

In all seriousness i just loved this video. The fantails, the Bush, the tui and the cicadas and you going about your business.
The highlight which made me laugh so hard was the fence jump. Classic, I was already laughing before you even discovered you didn't need to do it lol.
These are my favorite type of videos, your other i am going to save until Christmas day. Looking forward to it.
I really thank you for this, it captured my time at home and what I remember perfectly 👌

Thanks bro. I have taken a liking to their hats. This Akubra Stylemaster was very comfortable to wear but probably a bit too soft for the bush. I have found the Riverina more robust.

@@southernlandsolo7839 Thank you for this information, Might get the Stylemaster for urban use and the Riverina for Rural/Bush use.
Right now I'm using the Outback Traders Wagga-Wagga, nice hat.
Thank you for your time, be well. Cheers

@@ForgotTheMachete Just checked out the Wagga Wagga on line. Looks like a solid hat. It would be quite a change from leather to rabbit fur felt but my fur felts do extremely well in the wet, heat and cold. I had the brim of my Riverina trimmed down to between 65mm to 67.5mm. Makes it much better for getting around in the bush and getting in and out of my vehicle for work. I will stick a plug in for Tess at Brisbane Hatters, she trims and restyles her customers hats for them.

@@southernlandsolo7839 The rawhide design warps and gets heavy once wet, softer and malleable when hot. Have no problem with it though. Fully agree with that statement, the felt is very durible in most situations. The only thing you would want to be careful with is the leather band when it shrinks. I appreciate this useful information and will look at getting custom work done at Brisbane Hatters. Cheers

@@ForgotTheMachete Good point about the leather band shrinking. I know leather can stretch so it may shrink but come right again overtime. I could always cut it and sew in a patch to extend it again.
