It has now gotten to the state where upcoming "white" rappers are sounding more mentally evolved and intelligent while most of the black rappers are still rapping about the same nonsensical stuff for the last +10 years - including "Eatin' booty like it's groceries...".

Negotiations for distribution fell through with Capitol Records and Universal Mowtown, and ironically Interscope Records (where rivals Eminem & 50 Cent were distributed by).
Would Murder Inc have sold that many albums or made that much money today? Probably not due to easily being able to stream and download music. Back in the early 2000's there wasn't technology to easily stream music and no smart phones or tablets.. people had to buy the albums to listen to music which helped the artists make money.
