Busting misconceptions all over the place, I love it! I hate when people say they won’t eat in Chinatown... like, what??
Great information and awesome animations in this video man! Really helped give me some clarity around the crazy news that’s been spreading!
I'm glad you are highlighting the risk of the coronavirus, specifically mentioning the misconceptions/myths relating to CV. Honestly, the rates of contact with influenza are greater (ie you have more of a chance of coming in contact with someone with influenza) than you do (at least currently) with coming into someone with coronavirus. I've learned that usually at the beginning of an epidemic, the rates are falsely inflated. Not downplaying the risk because obviously this is serious. It's just until we know more, the fear mongering doesn't really add value to the discussion. The Sawbones podcast did an excellent coverage of the coronavirus and CDC has a comprehensive page devoted to all things coronavirus. I've decided to focus on making sure I'm up to date on my vaccines, practice good techniques like hand washing and seeking medical attention if I feel start to feel any symptoms. There's not much beyond that at this point while public health officials are researching and gathering information (and hopefully working on a vaccine)
Hey, thanks for the thoughtful comment. I agree, simple precautions will go a long way.
2% fatality rate is alot higher than the 0.7% of the influenza. It might even be higher than the 1918 influenza epidemic. It's pretty serious stuff.
I live in Italy and here everyone is in PANIC, literally. In some areas there aren't even any cases and people are buying tons of groceries, protective masks, antibacterial gel...😣 In these situations panicking won't help at all, we just need to be a little more cautious, thats it.
Wow that’s so interesting. I guess they have good reason too, the headlines are blowing up about the virus reaching Italy. Make sure to keep washing your hands!
Maybe if we politly ask the vires to not infect us...... we will be safe
Thanks for this informative video! This virus does worry me though like where I'm thinking am I suppose to never go outside of my home and to never travel anywhere while this is going on? Those are just thoughts running through my mind.
I feel you on that, honestly. Personally I would just try to keep your hands clean and watch the headlines and stay informed. The best we can do
Thanks for your input on this topic. I find it extremely questionable that Dr. Li died in a matter of days after exposing the virus. Whats not being said is that coronavirus has been around for quite some time. I myself have several unanswered questions and doubts about the timing, among other things concerning this virus, which again is not a brand new virus which just recently appeared.
I am curious as to how all.of this started.. like around the same time in different parts of the world which had nothing to do with China.. like all the bats in these areas at the same time got this virus created within themselves ( regardless of the proximity of the locations like Italy and Iran) .. cause i.used to think that these bats were in china hence anybody infected could trace their infection back to the source location ( china) but what if its not location ... And what if the bats like a time bomb had it within them all the time.. I dont know if i am even making sense anymore.. i hope u understand what i am trying to say .. lol.. good vid btw 😊
Yeah! I understand what you're saying, it makes sense and honestly you bring up a good question honestly.
side note... what you said could totally be turned into one of those horror sifi movies haha
I have it so I'll tell you when I die LMAOO
So I’m currently in Iran now
And let me tell you..... everyone is freaking out here.... because it is not like we didn’t have enough problems 😅
*laughs nervously *
Oh my! Yeah that’s really sad! Just keep your hands clean and washed and sending my best wishes
I had one error in this video: the influenza has a way lower rate of deaths than the Coronavirus. My apologizes for not fact checking properly.
