When i saw your post few months back about recovering the missing window i thought this could go either way.

Time taken on that base paid off I think. It adds to the story of the model without drawing the eye too much. I could imagine that on some fleet admiral's desk or cabinet.

I'll get that kit soon and then add lighting. Some LEDs and fiber optics will work. Adafruit offers some nice solutions to make that happen.

The name is recessed like it is in the film. There is a lighter color border, actually two levels of recess. The kit is correct
It's a bit too deep. Not a huge deal, though. Hey Lou, it's Daniel Broadway, btw.
I'm not seeing it. Most screenshots I have I see no recess. I found one when its parked on the mountain that might hint that there is a slight one, more of an engraving.

Wow that is shallow. Alright, I admit I'm wrong, but it's still incorrect and too deep on the kit. I think decals would look more accurate especially with the lip.
yeah, I'll agree that the name is too deep, but that probably was to allow it to be painted easier.
You mention missing some parts..did you not get two sets of three "fan blades" - 6 total?

It didn't. When the enterprise was destroyed in star trek beyond the crew found this old crashed ship on a planet and fixed it up enough using it to get off the planet.
