Smooth Folks! Last year's extreme autumn survival overnighter! Sorry to those who feel disappointed with a Reupload; new content next week again! The original video has been offline for a while, and it never got many views… Hope you all watch and enjoy the Whole video and the algorithm to be pleased;) Cheers!
What do you mean offline? Did that vid get taken down? It was/is a great vid though, others usually do bushcraft because they enjoy it, not to get no sleep and be cold all night just to test the simple concept of burrowing into a pile of leaves. Not many people do this uncomfortable stuff on their own decision.
Julius! Man! You are made of iron! Determination and sacrifices you are displaying for us folks is beyond one imagination. Thank you for every cold second of that difficult night lost in forest. Pure survivalist. Ed Stafford should lick your feet:)))
Echt goed bezig
Hi, thanks for toughing it out for the video, it must have been very uncomfortable to say the least mate. This just goes to show how important it to try and not get lost in the first place, and also keeping hold of your pack at all times. Having some essential bits and pieces in your pockets as back up for this kind of situation would be a good idea, and wouldn't weigh much. Better to have it and not need it. Thanks for going the extra mile for us, and showing what it's realy like in that scenario, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart UK.
I'm my opinion you are the top notch youtube survival program. Honestly there's no fluff here and promo shit. Just passion for it . Great video as usual
When you kick yourself into a leaf shelter as you did your just scattering the leaves and losing all the effort put into building the pile, you had the materials around you to make a rough frame to pile the leaves onto hence making a better sturdier survival shelter 👌🏻
There is a line from an old movie I saw which is "victory loves preparation". Now, some think I am a bit weird when it comes to what I carry but, you never know what might come. I usually carry a mini first aid kit, a paranoid bracelet with other assorted tools built into the bracelet, Leatherman, and a emergency blanket on me during the winter. They are pretty light weight and don't take up much room at all in my jacket. It's always good to have a backup and even better to have a backup to the backup. Great video by the way. Looking forward to your future adventures and can't wait for the roundhouse living experience.
Good night out Julius. I can't believe that my Dad left Ireland where there are no snakes or bears and moved to North Carolina where they're everywhere!
What one needs to do is find the highest point, and look for the edge of the forest A creek or river especially as they will eventually lead to civilization in most cases. But have faith and hope most of all folks, don’t forget who created this extraordinary nature
This is why we have pockets. A decent quality space blanket, knife, lighter, some cordage, a basic compass and some cooking foil will quite literally be the difference between life and death
🎩Hi did you find a hefalump in the woods when you were digging. Ha ha. You two really remind me of the hundred acre wood and all it’s great stories. If you see Eyore don’t forget a Balloon. Looking forward to more adventures. Don’t eat all the honey.
Где есть сельхоз угодья, даже зимой можно пережить ночь в стогу сена. Сухие (именно сухие!) листья и траву можно набить между слоями одежды - хорошо помогают утеплиться.
A night walking or standing at 4°C is unbearable. After the first hour or so you become really tired and want to lie down anyway. It's a good idea to find firs if there are any near by and use their smaller branches.
Holly Grove bro!?! Right behind you! Cmon now, as a tree guy you've gotta give it a go at least once... They've saved me from hypothermia in rainstorms more than once. Not comfortable if you're not in thick clothes but it's better than wet leaves 💯
My dad was a police dog tracker/handler. He always told us to stay in one place if we are lost in the woods. Otherwise, you risk moving away from the people looking for you.
Thank you for taking this cold simulation for us! It makes me wonder; would it be a good idea to try and make this shelter in the fashion of "elevated fire lay"? Just so its easier to crawl in without messing up the shelter and easier, to then "release" top part to cover ourselves?
In those horrible circumstances, I'd be more concerned about hypothermia than snakes or other creatures, here in North America. We have snakes, but like the insects, they are less active in the cold. More likely to uncover one digging up leaves, than crawling into a shelter you've made. (They will flee activity if they can.) In US, about 5 snakebite deaths per annum, versus 1300 by hypothermia. Vast majority of snakebites are from people messing with snake in some way.
Am i really the only one, who thinks this video was re-uploaded? I remember watching this video years ago. The old road, the reflector strap on the tree, the fact that he couldn't sleep well that night and did push ups to warm him self up. I predicted the last 2 things before watching the rest of the video, because i remembered. But this message is not supposed to be an accusation or a hate comment. I really love your content and I can understand if you re-uploaded this video because you felt like this content is important for especially the new people on this channel.
😂 bro I’m crying, all that work getting the leaves and when he goes to lay down they all fall under him. 💀 Should’ve just put some twigs over you. Next time maybe lay the branches first with enough space for you to go under, then the leaves, then more branches?

I enjoyed that one. And it was good to watch it again.
rewatching it, for support! :D
I thought this video looked familiar. However, it reminds me to always carry a light weight Tarp in my day pack.
How to get hypothermia 😂

Love these videos. A unique channel. Great dedication.
What an amazing shot at the beginning of the video!
Awesome reupload.
You are a tough boy, much respect for you.
I enjoy your videos because of your positive outlook.
Great work Julius!
Hi you have a very interesting video just super👍 I'm also building a forest dugout you can watch 😀..
I just added an electric/butane gun shaped lighter to my EDC bag. If I lose that bag I'll only have my Ruike M-105 TZ to survive the night.
Take care about nature? I like
Wow, that was real. Thanks for the info.

Love the occasional Irish slang in your videos, makes me smile every time. (Is scuttering a common term anywhere else?)
Perfect self-experiment and adventure ;) I love your adventure videos man. The bear country "series" was awesome too!
This is why we have pockets.

Enjoyed it😁

What do you mean about the holly grove? How would that help? I'm curious.
My dad was a police dog tracker/handler. He always told us to stay in one place if we are lost in the woods. Otherwise, you risk moving away from the people looking for you.
Looks like a SERE situation
Great video!
What an great video! I really like your editing, knowledge and your personalities!
Awesome stuff! Your hardcore, mate!

Savage stuff Dude
Here's something that may help someone to be found. As they walk, they can bend over and break a small tree in the direction they are traveling.
I bet it was fun flying a drone in that wind (NOT), Jim Y
Great vid mate
Thank you
Smooth!
Fantastic video, just goes to show always keep your knife and ferro on you, a lighter is even better.
Intro almost looks like a movie👍

How is your immune system so strong ??
You can live for more than a day doing nothing. Plebeian…
Would it be fair to assume that anyone in the military would be trained and equipped with the know-how to adapt and survive in situations like this?

Algorithm comment
I admire your resolve and determination, but most of your “survival” videos turn out to be how to starve and freeze in the woods for X days.
👍 exactly
Its not cool to pad out your videos with gibber
