Thanks very much for the upload, it does look rather wet and windy there! I have not driven one of these though I can often figure what's happening, this time I am stumped. Can anyone, the videographer, perhaps, tell me what is going on and why this machine is moving rock? Is it to allow the natural action of the sea to scour and sort the rocks, what? I would just love a right in one of these. Unfortunately I live in England UK and they are not exactly 'thick on the ground!
Yet another 'thing' we as walking wounded have to let us pass by even though inside we are screaming please stop and give me a show around! Ah well, never mind. Take care and thanks again for these videos mrbluenun
Sorry to be a PITA (Pain In The Arse), can anyone remind me what the little turned up lip of steel on the track is called, that is the one that gives it grip, or purchase? Take care. mrbluenun
The lip on the track is called a grouser. Usual set up is single on a dozer, double on large excavators and triple on small excavators
Beautiful dozer
Thank you

Nothing to do with the sea! The machine is moving waste rock dug out of the mine to expose the coal
