- In this video I will walk you though how you can really let rip with all those collage papers we made in Part 1 and create something very unique!
Join me as I delve into the art of printmaking, collage creation, and calligraphy, combining these elements into a stunning piece of art.
We'll start by selecting the best collage papers crafted in Part 1, laying the foundation for our print. Watch as I build the plate, layer by layer, with intricate textures and patterns.
Using a variety of techniques, including the use of sticky labels for a textured background (inspired by the talented Bob Cornellis - check him out on Instagram @BobCornellisArtist), we'll explore the vast possibilities of collage calligraphy. I'll guide you through each step, from cutting random shapes and labels to applying ink and achieving the perfect print.

My goodness, so much beauty here. The evolving collograph, the masking strips (for more collage), the chine collé (that seems to melt into the print). I've never seen that technique with wheat starch before and am going to give it a try. You're always giving me ideas. Thank you.
Thank you for your nice words and I hope you enjoy trying it out 🤗
You always show us such interesting techniques! Thank you for your continued inspiration.
Thank you so much and you are very welcome 🤗
Excellent video! Thank you so much for this exploration in printing!
Thank you and you are welcome 🤗
Hey Marta, what you do is so so inspiring! Honored you in my last tutorial (part 1)…cheers from Berlin 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀🎨
Thank you Tina, I must have a look 🙏🤗
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
I coloured mulberry paper (same size as plate)and put it down on my plate. I used powered wallpaper paste which is no longer available (possibly amazon) I'll investigate the availability of the wheat powder, i wasn't sure regular baking flour would work 🎉❤❤❤
I used wallpaper powder too but I found I had to grind it to finer powder. Colouring rice paper works well too
I love your videos ! Can't wait to try out the different techniques. You used sticky back paper for the collages, what glue would you use to stick down ordinary paper, please?
Thank you 🤗
I would use glue that’s water proof, wood glue or acrylic medium would work
Lovely collagraph! I especcially like the chine collé. Didn't get it right away.... First wet it, then sprinkle it and then press it onto the paper??
Thank you 🙏 Yes that’s right!
So the stick on paper is removable! What is the name of it?
It’s just A4 label paper
Lovely Collagraph I am a beginner so I was in awe of your process, so many skills coming together. Thank you for sharing ❤
You are very welcome and thank you 🤗
Wonderful work ❤
Thank you for watching 🤗
