To all of you guys saying that Dave was wasted in this interview, look, this is the last day of a tour. You may not think so but touring is exhausting, especially if it's a GWAR show. Sure Dave Brockie did drink and experiment with drugs, but chances are in this interview he was really tired from a grueling tour.
@Lisa Surlie Doesn't need to be played on the radio to be popular. Lots of really bad music gets played on the radio and lots of good music gets no radio play at all. At lease Dave Brockie died knowing that he never sold out, that the money GWAR made was legitimate money, not a product of cooked books and self funded sales.
@Lisa Surlie GWAR was featured very prominently on MTV back in the 80's and 90's, especially Beavis and Butthead. MTV is how I learned about GWAR, Kurt Loder always talking about them on MTV News every once an awhile. GWAR makes a lot of money, most of it going to them for their shows. GWAR is a lot more successful than people realize.
