Firs Environmental Research Station, 22 May 2024

The Firs traces its history at The University of Manchester back to 1887, when the house and grounds were bequeathed by Sir Joseph Whitworth. The site is home to the Firs Environmental Research Station and the University’s Living Plant Collection.
