I am just amazed how you continue to design cards and use an entire 6 x 6 paper pad - wish my mind worked like yours. Thank you
Thanks! Definitely helped by lots of practice. Not only in years and years of cardmaking but years of teaching where you have to be 'on' all the time. You learn to go with the flow and trust your gut because it has internalized your past experience. But with cardmaking fun is the main goal.
You amaze me how you just put these cards together, you make look so easy. I will never look at a paper pack the same way again. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Hi Donna, thank you so much! I hope have fun crafting with your paper pads!
I think the idea of using scrap card stock for more dimension is an outstanding idea! Thanks.
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
I need to remember to try to use those big patterns that come in most pads. Thanks for your ideas.
I like the Kraft paper with these cards . Good choice .
Hi Jess! Yes, it’s May & I’m watching your Christmas paper pads videos. I love Christmas & card making ... and oh well, not sorry! I enjoy your video format. I appreciate you sharing your thought process & hints. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Thank you for sharing your videos. When I get stuck for card ideas I can go to your videos and get some great ideas. Thank you.
I'm so glad! Happy crafting!
I really enjoyed your use of the larger paper pad - great ideas. I will be Zoom crafting with friends on Friday, making Christmas cards. I will use your technique of putting items in plastic bags. Thanks for all the terrific inspiration.
That sounds like fun! Happy crafting!
I like how you go back and add additional die cuts at the end. It sounds like a simple tip, but I never really would have done that. I will now.
Glad it was a helpful tip! I always wind up with more at the end than I expect and don't like to have stragglers hanging around the stash forever.
Great use of a paper pad
I have this paper pack and struggled with ideas for cards. Thanks for your ideas!
Hi Anne! I hope you have crafting with the pad now that you have some ideas. It was a fun one to use.
Beautiful cards!
I absolutely loved every one of these cards.
Great idea about poinsettia paper
Jess, I was particularly drawn to watching your creative process in this video. My personal preference is matted layers, but that being said, I liked the resulting cards you created. And you offered a wealth of tips that even those of us who have been making cards for a while can still appreciate and put to use👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm so glad you found it helpful. Mats can look so good but are so time consuming. Also I find I need to think more about the measurements since I'm not used to them. But I did do mats on my two other Christmas videos so you might enjoy those.
Hi Jess, thank you so much for explaining your card process, i always look forward to your videos, they are very informative.😊
Hi Amanda, thanks so much! 😊
Your cards are so festive. Thanks for sharing your creative design process.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this, I don't do alot of cardmaking, my first love is scrapbooking. Your video has opened my eyes to quick and easy ways to use up supplies left over from scrapping projects. Also loved the tip about adding dimension. I had never thought about the environmental impact of foam tape before.
Hi! So glad this has given you some ideas for your scraps! I love to hear that my videos are helping people get more from their supplies or use some of the beautiful paper we so enjoyed buying!
Such great tips in this one, thank you!
Thank you for going through your process with us. I find that so helpful. Your cards are beautiful!💕😊
Thank you so much!
Hello Jess! I've been watching your paper pad videos for a few weeks now, and honestly, they are terrific. I really enjoy them! And they never fail to make me want to run to my supplies and start making cards... so they are definitely inspiring. I am especially blown away by how you just keep on going, and creating new designs even as the papers dwindle and you are left with scraps - it is a testament to your gift for this kind of crafting. You make me want to really push myself to do the same. Many thanks to you, as well, for telling us about the card donation opportunities! That alone has been a game-changer for me... I've been telling everyone about it, and gotten a few folks on board to start contributing. Yet another reason to arrange crafting sessions and do something we already love as a means of sharing love with others. All in all, you have been a blessing. ;)
This comment means so much to me because this is exactly what I hope crafters get from my channel. I want to inspire others to use all the beautiful products they own and spread joy with their hobby. Thank you for sharing! Happy crafting!
Sob..... we dont have any were to donate cards in Australia
I love watching you! You are very creative with the paper pads and i love how all is incorporated!! Thank you
Thank you so much! It feels great to finish up a paper pad, embellishment pack, spool of twine, etc. Keeps the craft room a bit more under control as well.
I really loved this video. Your cards are gorgeous and you’ve given me lots of ideas 😀
Thanks so much! 😊
I appreciate your ideas. I am using the idea to keep out of the sun during our unusual heat wave. I would like to add that using gems in any card that goes to a nursing home is not a good idea. Having managed adult facilities, there can be some dementia orients that might try to eat them. Again, thanks for the great ideas.
Thank you Jane for bringing that to my attention. I will try to keep that in mind. I rarely use gems because I generally avoid plastic on my cards lately but this is another reason to pass on those supplies.
Beautiful cards! I loved the way you used the bigger scenes for the background!
Thank you! I love to try a challenge and I was surprise at how useful those bigger scenes were.
Directionality of main element (looking right or left) is a layout rule. Like you mentioned, if they are looking to the right, they should be placed on the left, and vice versa. Just found your channel; enjoying your videos.
Thanks!
These are so cute, I ordered the paper and look forward to making Christmas cards. I just found you on UA-cam today.
It's such a cute pad, have fun crafting with it!
I so appreciate your thought processes. Thanks for sharing! I learned some important ways to look at my supplies. Looking forward to more😊
Glad it was helpful! Happy crafting!
New to your channel. I’m making cards right now so your videos gave me a lot of ideas. TFS
Awesome! Thank you!
I just recently found your channel and I’m really enjoying your videos! Lots of info and ideas!
Such great ideals
Awesome designs… you are a true genius putting your designs together. I love watching you! Take good care!❤️
Thank you! You too!
Beautiful cards
Thanks so much!
So cute cards. 😘
Thanks so much!
I really enjoy your videos.
I'm so glad!
Great cards and easy to follow craft with me. Loved to see your thought process. New subbie here!
Thanks so much! Glad to have you as a subbie!
Enjoyed this video and learning your thought process. Really liked seeing how you used the paper that has one big scene. I always struggle with those whether it's on a 6x6 or 12x12. PS. I used your Halloween jokes for the cards I sent to nursing homes. Love it since I tend to struggle with what to write inside of the cards
It makes me so happy to hear the jokes were helpful to you. I hope the individuals enjoyed their Halloween cards. I'm trying to work on a 12x12 paper video but I'm rusty with using that size so I'm struggling a bit.
Love it! Thanks a Lot 🤩🇵🇪
I love your ideas for the papers with big designs that I look at and think won’t work for cards! 💙💙💙 Jokes? That is so cool! I haven’t heard of doing that and I bet that is fun for receivers. Do you snap photos before you bag them? If I plan then mix up the parts I’ll forget my plan. 😁 I just use trash too. 😂🤣😂
Hi Sarah, thanks! I hope the kids enjoy the jokes. I never know what to write inside a card so this makes it easy. I sometimes take photos but usually I don't. I only put one design in each bag and I can always look back at the video if need be. I just subbed to your channel so I can come back and check out some of your videos. Happy crafting!
Just saw your video and will search for more of them. You make it look so easy. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more of your ideals❤
Thank you so much! I'll be sharing lots with 6x6 papers in the next little while. I hope you enjoy!
Cute cards🌼
Thanks so much!
Hey sweetie, so yassss💙💙💙
Stunning set of cards 😻 I love the pattern papers and your card designs ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Hi Joan, thank you so much!
I'm now a subscriber and LOVE your videos! I bought regular Kraft paper and a set of Kraft cards and envelopes. Thing is, they are small, I think 3 x 5. Have you thought of using these sets? I'm not sure I'm going to as it kind of takes away from the 'homemade' point of cardstock.
Thank you so much! Glad to have you as a subscriber! I haven't used any 3X5 cards. That seems like it might be quite small. Are they plain or do they have something printed on them?
@@JessCrafts Yeah, I'm not sure I'm going to use them. It was a last-minute thought. They are all plain, one set of Kraft and another just white.
Since they are plain I bet you could still make some cute cards from them. Maybe just using some small simpler patterns. I'm a big fan of A2 but it can be fun to mix it up.
@@JessCrafts Why a big fan? A2 does seen to be the perfect size!
I like A2 because you can cut two from 1 sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock with no scraps. Since that is the most common size of cardstock I can make my own card bases on the cheap with no waste.
Love your videos. Always get some great tips.
Thanks so much!
