Hallo Jan thank you very much for this fantastic tutorial. For the first time I watched one of your tutorials on my TV. To see the step by step development of a picture in extra large format greated in my case an extraordinary Wow-effect. The woman came slowly into view, emerging out of the white and gradually the result became better and better. You are a great artist! As soon as I can I will recreat your image. I am looking forward to doing it. Have a nice week. 🙋‍♀️🐾

Hi there, Amy Russel again 😃. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. Really nice! I think I understand what you mean, because I am always editing on a large tv screen. It's so much more fun to see it in such an extra large format. High contrast, great colors etc. I hope you enjoy recreating the image; that's why we have Gimp, just to have a good time, don't you agree? Have a good weekend and thank you again👌. Best regards, Jan.

Leuke tutorial!

    Mr. Jan.
    Good greeting.
In program (Photoshop), when you select a particular shape in a particular layer, and you select the shape in the selection rectangle, the mouse arrow turns into a two-headed arch. The user can use these two parentheses to move the selected shape to right or the left.
More importantly, the cross-shaped sign (+) appears inside the specified shape, and the user can transfer the cross to any part of the selected shape, so that the cross is the axis around which the selected shape moves.
For example, if we put the cross in the upper right corner of the selected shape, and move the shape in the selection guide (the bicameral arch), we see that the specific shape moves around the axis of the cross.
My question: Is there such an application in the program (GIMP) ?.
    Note:-
At a minute 1:35 of the video link below this letter, you are shown the meaning.
    Thanks and respect.

Thanks for your input. Your question: In this tutorial, ua-cam.com/video/sP3B4ZU0lgY/v-deo.html starting at 5.00, (and later at 6.45) I use the pivot point, which is (I think) what you mean. 😃Good luck and please let me know if that is what you are searching for. It comes with the unified transform tool, which is available from Gimp 2.10 and higher. Have a nice weekend. 😎 Jan. GW.

Salam,@@MJSUNBAH In my previous comment there is a link to a video with the unified transform tool and the pivot point. Maybe it landded in your spam folder... The pivot point is what you mean in photoshop; Here is the link again: ua-cam.com/video/sP3B4ZU0lgY/v-deo.html AT 5.00 and later at 6.45 is the use of the pivot point. Please let me know if this is what you mean. Regards, Jan.

I deeply appreciate your effort to help me. The important point that I can not apply in the JMP program is
      Salam Alaykum Mr.Jan.
when I have chosen the shape of the rectangle or box and it is equipped with a unified transform tool, and chose a pivot point, I do not fix the pivot point when I move to another layer, and go back to it again. In Photoshop, the point of the axis remains at the location chosen by the user, and when he returns to that layer, the axis point is fixed in its exact position without change, and this is what I can not do in the GIMP program.
I am very excited that the GIMP program meets all needs.
Thank you for your interest and help with respect.
