The Pillars who did not accept Nezuko at first is being logical. Look here, they’ve been through a lot more than what we thought, they fought a lot more demons and suffered because of them. That is why they hesitated to accept Nezuko at first. They were just acting through their experiences.
The reactors understand that as we can see they even outright say it that they can see where they are coming from, but it's sanemi here who went too far. It's alright to doubt them and it makes sense but what sanemi is doing crossed the line and the test was flawed, it's okay to test nezuko with his blood but stabbing her thrice just isn't right, anyone has the right to act in self defence but they will use it against her. I finished the manga and till this day I don't like sanemi lol.

Stabbing her multiple times unnecessarily though he could've used only his blood since he knows he's a marechi and one of the rarest out of the rare. And does it have to be thrice? While grinning at first like he's having fun? I can't tell if he's conducting a test or venting his hatred out for demons... Probably both. I feel bad for him and all but he still went too far here.
@@aperson2697 He didn't went to far . Demon Slayers are meant to kill demons . So stabbing Nezuko thrice is quite kind of the pillars. Also, idk why Sanemi is smiling but I think he's trying to provoke
@@qtpie9019 of course they are meant to kill demons, that's why I can consider those other demon slayers who tried to kill nezuko since they were in a mission that time, but it's a different circumstance with Sanemi. Nezuko is on trial that time, meaning it's not even proven yet if she did harm anyone, they were supposed to determine if she will or not. But since as they were no proof she won't harm anyone there isn't either if she will, so hurting her over and over again was unnecessary if there was a not violent but effective way to prove it by using his marechi blood. So what's the point if stabbing her? Not just once but thrice? His special blood is very effective alone, so hurting her over and over again just because he can is too far. Smiling to provoke tanjiro? Why? That makes it even worse, is he trying to be like "oh look I'm hurting your precious sister you must care about so much, I'm a pillar so what are you gonna do about it you fool?"
Everybody gets angry with Sanemi's attitude in this episode. But since you read the manga, you will understand why he does that.
Truth .. And despite what Nezuko has done, I like him, and I understand
his behavior.

I personally loved Rengoku from start till end and he is still my favorite Hashira but i understand people not liking him at first because he wanted Nezuko dead. However, I am sure anybody after watching the movie will love Rengoku, he has so much charisma and such strong values of justice and protecting everyone
Sanemi's action is a logical albeit twisted one, the man does have a sad backstory like all of the others, be glad he didn't outright kill her
Every hashiras were right on there own way both sides are right in their own way the drama in this show is just perfect

I hate how short sighted these people are. Of course the Hashira won't simply accept the fact that a good demon exists. We as the audience, know about Nezuko, and how she would never eat a person. The Hashira have no such knowledge, and have been in countless situations, where they saw what demons are capable of. These are the kinds of people, that don't take into account two sides of a story.

Personally, I think the author was going for that specific reaction.
Kny loves making us hate demons, then coming to understand their story and instead feel pity for them. A lot of us couldn't stand Zenitsu at first, but we came to realize how powerful he is. We though Inosuke was just a dumb brute, but is a loveable softie. The author loves this trope, and you can tell they went heavy on this with the Hashiras.
Us manga readers have hindsight, but I will always admit that I hated most of the Hashiras at first as well. That's the whole point. It makes our love for them stronger, and that as anime-only continue to discover more about them, they'll come to love them as well.
These guys, and most anime-watchers, aren't necessarily shortsighted. They're being played exactly how the author wants them to. It's brilliant, seriously, and when we see how they'll truly come around and warm up to the pillars, it'll be so worth it.
They just reacted.. What they saw.. Like sanemi was really rude with both tanjirou and nezuko.. Its understandable that nezuko is a demon but he even argued with the master.. So it's natural to react like that..

I feel so bad for Sanemi and people just hate on him cause he was being “rude” to Nezuko and Tanjiro. But his backstory was so sad and you have to understand his side too.

@@aperson2697 hm? It was not againts the rules to stab a demon tho, and also stabbing a demon while letting your blood drip near it makes the demon rage and hungry. He was just testing Nezuko and i know we all know this but Demons can heal their wonds unlike humans. Its only normal for Sanemi to act that way towards a demon. I mean like "My sister doesnt eat humans!" And the pillars might probably like "seems legit".

Stabbing her was unnecessary since he has a very special blood so he could've only used that but he stabbed her multiple times and was even cackling at first like he's enjoying it while in front of tanjiro. She can heal her wounds but but that doesn't erase the pain you feel from getting stabbed over and over, and In front of tanjiro who values her more than his own life having to watch his sister the only family member he has left being in the hands of someone who wants to and can kill her anytime while pinned down. I'm okay with the other pillars because yes they doubted her which is understandable but they didn't cross the line like sanemi did, with all the arguments backing nezuko up there should be at least a consideration even just a little bit even if they kept their doubts but I think he hates demons so much nothing mattered anymore. The test was flawed, it wasn't to see if she will attack him or not but to prove her ugliness as a demon to get her killed. He has a sad back story and I feel bad but still doesn't change he went too far.

She clearly isn't doing anything, and they could've just kept her at a safe distance, especially after the fact the Tanjiro carried her there, regardless of if they believe she hasn't attacked anyone in 2 years or not. There weren't even in a crowded area. I repeat, all of the Hashiras were there and a 'measly' boy carried this demon here, so why should they even worry? With their skills, would they not be able to decapitate Nezuko the instant she escapes, even if she is powerful? ALL of the Hashira lmao. Even after when the Master cleared her, and after Tanjiro's teacher's letter has been read, with the promise of his and Giyuu's punishment, he still decides to stab her some more. He was even ready to cut Tanjiro lol, and you're still like "ahhhh, why do some people hate him?!" I swear fan-people like you are so fucking dumb and blinded, with no reason. Lol, like everyone of them has a fateful encounter like our MC here. They'd never seen a good demon. All they ever see was that demon who slaughter their families from they were young. If you had known their backstory, you'd understand why they bear so much grudge and anger that it's almost fear turned upside down, fear that they'd lost that anger. They'd do anything just to kill a demon. Especially those guys who seem to be against Tanjiro and Nezuko. They have the harshest and saddest backstory.
There's only so much good demons in this show i could count in one hand. There's definitely no need for them to know whether a demon is good or bad because demons weren't undivided lot. There's only 3 demons worthy to spare. Differentiating good and bad demon is nothing but a senseless ability to have.
I saw the movie infinity train arc. I was impressed animation and story even though I had already read manga.

Yes! There are so many Nezuko worshippers out there that make a big fuss about Sanemi’s attitude. It’s one thing to not like him and it’s another thing to wishing for him to die.

Behind every hashira has a sad past
Many here are trying so hard to give gatepass to those Hashiras and saying that they do not deserve such dislike. First, please remind yourself that these reactors do not possess further information about those characters. And at that point, the Hashiras just got introduced to them, and they have zero idea of who they are, or their backstory is. And even if they knew or considered/assumed (of them having a sad backstory), I still firmly believe that _some_ of their actions here are improper and deserve some disagreement.
1. Giyu can, but why can’t they?
Sure, Giyuu saw their story himself and has some certain interaction with Tanjiro before. But, we also witnessed in the first episode that he was also skeptical at first, but he did able to approach the situation objectively afterwards, which led to where we are now. That’s how it should be- impartial and logical. Giyu let Tanjiro *say* his side, and he didn’t try to kill him (only Nezuko, the demon).
2. Hashira-level position.
Not every Hashira needs to be exactly the same like Giyuu or Shinobu. Variance in personality and character is essential. But, *attitude* of a character matters depending on their position. Take the way on how they welcomed the master- they have the ability to show restraint. If you are in a top, leader-like position like a Hashira, approaching things *properly, objectively, and logically* is must have. You shouldn’t let your personal loathe towards demon take over you just because you have a sad backstory about them. The job description of a ‘demon slayer’ you say? Sure, and I stand to testing Nezuko as a very valid thing to do. But to also kill Tanjiro?
3. Tanjiro is a human.
Demon slayer slays demons to protect humanity. Tanjiro is a human who is part of the humanity. He is even the most at risk of getting eaten by Nezuko if ever, but they didn’t in the slightest took those facts and proceeded to just wanting to kill him too without considering or hearing his/their side at all (so tell me, are those an objective approach? A logical step?). That even shows that some of them are doing their ‘slayer job’ not just to protect the humans, but part of it because of the hatred that was form in relation to their personal sobby backstory.
4. All feelings are valid.
If you think your love with others or Sanemi is valid because you _‘know’_ them/him, sure. But, these reactors hating towards these newly introduced characters to them are also valid. It is the goal of the *tone* of this episode, and with their current knowledge of the story at that point, those are all normal. You also need to perceive that the stabbing and unfairness (not wanting to listen to Tanjiro’s side and just killing him) is improper, illogical, and very subjective for a Hashira and it deserves to be disliked and disagreed on.
A character is great if they are imperfect, that's one that gives flavor to stories after all. You can also feel all the sympathy to Sanemi or others as much as you want, but that doesn't, shouldn't, and wouldn't make those illogical and improper things they did as something right or acceptable. They have acceptable reactions (due to their own history), but not their actions.
Im willing to bet every single one of these jokers either havent read the manga or acting like they've seen this the first time. They react to every little scene. If you hate Obanai or Sanemi then go read the manga. Hate the black guy on the upper left.
I mean it is a reaction lmao- the anime strictly talks about seeing 2 sides of a story, and empathy. Most of them probably don’t know about Iguro’s or Sanemi’s backstories. They’re just voicing their point of view of how they see it. At first, a couple of them didn’t like Zenitsu, but then it only took one episode later and the reactors changed their minds. Now, Zenitsu is a beloved favorite. The same thing will probably happen with the Hashiras. I understand the frustration since I read the manga and watched the anime as well, so I know the Hashiras struggles and points of views. But, not everyone will have the same interpretation and that’s okay. Viewpoints change.
*edit: the reactions are months old anyways, so they probably already finished the anime, and maybe read the manga.

¿Porque no traducen "hashira" al ingles y lo ponen tal cual? xd en español lo traducimos a "pilar" y en ingles sería "pillar? Eso me parece curioso
