H Jimenez makes a Guitarron & I use that model cause it has a Thunder Wing bridge & saddle system. The saddle puts the strings at a steeper angle so it makes the Bass a bit louder.
You inspired me to start playing a guitarran. It is the Most beautiful back-up bass sound for all music. Geat sound with a powerful looking musical, Man Power instrument, Extremely Very Unique looking,
For fullness of sound! The top 3 strings are steel, and have a brighter sound, while the bottom 3 are nylon and have a thicker, more round tone. Together they make a nice, thick, but also bright bass tone that will cut through the audible mix of the full band.
To be perfectly honest, I don't know enough about guitarron luthiers to recommend one! The most popular ones are Morales, Sevillano, Candelas, and a few others... but because of the custom nature of acoustic instruments I'd recommend trying one out in person to see what you like first!
Part 2 please! This is the best intro I've found on UA-cam, and I think we know how to find 5 of the 12 notes now. We need the other 7 now :)
Great video. My plucking is terrible. this really helps. Part 2 would be much appreciated.

Why is it played in octaves/2 strings plucked at once?
