People hating Sanemi and Obanai right off the bat actually shows how Kyouharu Gotouge has written the characters. Even I hated them at the start bec I didn’t know their POV. Now that I’ve read the manga, I know for a fact that if I had been in their shoes, I would have acted the exact same way.

Even if he chopped her limbs off, it wouldnt matter anyway since she is a demon. what if she got injured in battle like how sanemi were injuring her, what if she needs more energy to heal after a fight, what if her body was chopped in half and she heals it and now she is hungry, would she devour human to do so? That is what sanemi was trying to see. If you dont injured a demon, why would they even needs to eat anyway? These people expected them to give Nezuko an paper exam to test on or sth
Well what would you expect? Its definitely natural for them to hate him at first since they don't know him at all so its understandable. They'll eventually realise it soon if the anime will continue till the end and I hope it will.
Giyuu was able to stay even calmer than Tanjiro when seeing Sanemi does this to Nezuko. He knew no way in the world she would eat a human because when they first met, she choose to protect her weak brother, who is laying on the ground defenceless rather than eat him, then no way she would go and attack a healthy swordsman just because of blood. Tanjiro never notice that because, in his mind, he trust his sister in another way, he think she didn't go for him because she recognise her brother, and she might not restrain herself against other people.
I mean, the possibility of her eating a human was very much there. Seen in season 2, she is very capable of losing her remaining humanity and attacking humans.
It was such a nice scene i understood why sanemi stabbed her in s2 nezuko was gonna kill humans but tanjiro stopped her, here she was completely healthy but against daki she needed more power so she was gonna kill the humans. If sanemi wanted he would have killed nezuko the second he got the box but he wanted to test her

They've had their personal stories and encounters with demons they have their reasonings for absoulutely HATING demons. and when they hear the words "Nezuko doesn't eat humans". They think of it as bullshit, because demons natually go for humans when they get the chance. Actually I didnt hate Sanemi, Im an anime watcher and I think Sanemi did was a normal response for a demon slayer, especially a hashira. Sanemi was just trying to test Nezuko if she's gonna devour humans. If I was one of the hashiras, I also wouldnt trust Nezuko. Nezuko being a demon was dangerous enough.

And at that point, the Hashiras just got introduced to them, and they have zero idea of who they are, or their backstory is. And even if they knew or considered/assumed (of them having a sad backstory), I still firmly believe that _some_ of their actions here are improper and deserve some disagreement. 1. Giyu can, but why can’t they? Sure, Giyuu saw their story himself and has some certain interaction with Tanjiro before. But, we also witnessed in the first episode that he was also skeptical at first, but he did able to approach the situation objectively afterwards, which led to where we are now. That’s how it should be- impartial and logical. Giyu let Tanjiro *say* his side, and he didn’t try to kill him (only Nezuko, the demon). 2. Hashira-level position. Not every Hashira needs to be exactly the same like Giyuu or Shinobu. Variance in personality and character is essential. But, *attitude* of a character matters depending on their position. Take the way on how they welcomed the master- they have the ability to show restraint. If you are in a top, leader-like position like a Hashira, approaching things *properly, objectively, and logically* is must have. You shouldn’t let your personal loathe towards demon take over you just because you have a sad backstory about them. The job description of a ‘demon slayer’ you say? Sure, and I stand to testing Nezuko as a very valid thing to do. But to also kill Tanjiro? 3. Tanjiro is a human. Demon slayer slays demons to protect humanity. Tanjiro is a human who is part of the humanity. He is even the most at risk of getting eaten by Nezuko if ever, but they didn’t in the slightest took those facts and proceeded to just wanting to kill him too without considering or hearing his/their side at all (so tell me, are those an objective approach? A logical step?). That even shows that some of them are doing their ‘slayer job’ not just to protect the humans, but part of it because of the hatred that was form in relation to their personal sobby backstory. 4. All feelings are valid. If you think your love with others or Sanemi is valid because you _‘know’_ them/him, sure. But, these reactors hating towards these newly introduced characters to them are also valid. It is the goal of the *tone* of this episode, and with their current knowledge of the story at that point, those are all normal. You also need to perceive that the stabbing and unfairness (not wanting to listen to Tanjiro’s side and just killing him) is improper, illogical, and very subjective for a Hashira and it deserves to be disliked and disagreed on. A character is great if they are imperfect, that's one that gives flavor to stories after all. You can also feel all the sympathy to Sanemi or others as much as you want, but that doesn't, shouldn't, and wouldn't make those illogical and improper things they did as something right or acceptable. They have acceptable reactions (due to their own history), but not their actions.
It's perfectly understandable why Sanemi would stab Nezuko, tbh if I was him I would've just killed Nezuko immediately. But I still hate Sanemi. So many people always go "wait until you see his backstory then you'll love him!" but no, he is still a complete d*ckhead and most of the people who can't see that have the attitude of "Sanemi was abused so it's perfectly fine for him to abuse everyone else including his own brother and nothing he can do is wrong!"

It's perfectly understandable why Sanemi would stab Nezuko, tbh if I was him I would've just killed Nezuko immediately. But I still hate Sanemi. So many people always go "wait until you see his backstory then you'll love him!" but no, he is still a complete d*ckhead and most of the people who can't see that have the attitude of "Sanemi was abused so it's perfectly fine for him to abuse everyone else including his own brother and nothing he can do is wrong!"
