Matter of taste: from my point the surface was even more beautiful after flaming _before_ you took away the epoxy ... it had a glassy shine and a very artful mix of the wood shining through the blueish epoxy like water: 24:26
The actual result looks nice too, but more of a gaming board...

Perkins Builder Brothers on UA-cam, Jaime, about 3 years ago, several videos of his recovery process and getting new "fingers". Some of the videos are sad and made me cry but well worth watching if you are a woodworker.
I have worked in manufacturing and shipping most of my adult life.
I have never ever seen high quality and limited availability species used in pallets! It's not cost effective!
So unless you see the pallets taken apart and see all the wood yourself, i wouldn't take it as fact.
It's good that they are reusing scrap wood but they should be up-front if they are adding too the pallet wood with another species or do not have enough recovered from pallets and had to add.
The work on the base of the table is beatiful, but the legs are very large and rough
I know when I see random slabs hit the table and that is followed by flip flops... I'M IN FOR A WILD RIDE AND QUALITY SKILLS

You shouldn't've removed the excess epoxy. It gave the table a very attractive bluish ceramic bricks like appearance.
