Reliability on engine and transmission has been great. The ABc suspension is a known issue but works very well. Also be sure to do the split coolant mod right away.

I own the S55 AMG's sister car the CL55 AMG and I can say without a doubt the S55 was 'heat soaked' by the time he tried to play with the 'vette. I don't think with the weight difference the Merc had much of a chance anyway unless he was highly modified!
I swear I go thru this same shit with my S55. I he trying to chill and nit burn fuel and then boom some damn Infiniti or BMW come out of nowhere making all this damn noise, and boom, then I be having too show em n shit lls
I did the split coolant mod and upgraded the IC pump. No heat soak issues anymore on an 05 S55 AMG. Prior I was lucky to get 2 good highway pulls back to back
Best part it’s all stock I got a 2002 s55 amg not supercharged they made them supercharged after the year of 2003 my stock amg has 355hp i wanna supercharged it or turbocharged
It should have a been wayyyyy closer.... if the s55 was in manual mode and the Vette wasn't so many lengths ahead...plus got the jump.... But still plain awesome 🙂
Old corvette is a rockstar 🎉 and S55 understood it's better to go back and save fuel by not chasing the rockstar. It's like when you think you are fast but later you understood that you are not.

With a tune and bolt ons that S55 would be brutal! And getting rid of that stupid limiter!
It's acceleration rate is perfect stock, just needs to raise the limiter to 187, realistically.
I have an 05 S55 AMG with the race IQ tune and 77mm pulley. The sleeper aspect is always fun

The keyless go lost connection because the batt in the fob was loose. It was an east fix just bending the tab a little.
@@superchargedamg8761 there are a few options these cars have that I can live without: keyless go is one of them and add distronic to that list!

Delete the limiter, and with stronger tyres..after this s55 can go to 310 kph
