Hi. I tested it out and its good stuff, but honestly nothing special. It feels like any other compound/polish. I got it because someone said it was "the only product you need". 😆
Great job Phil and Jess. That was a tough job. Those black moldings between the windows looked like they were painted with a brush. I would replace those and be very happy with the rest of the results you all achieved.
Great video Phil. This customer must’ve been absolutely thrilled! That Oberk Defense is incredible stuff. I’m ordering a bottle to use on my G. I counted 10 Panamajammas in the video.
Do you have a video that demonstrates how to polish into those curves? When it comes to polishing my downfall is polishing within curves because the polisher stalls and I know you can roll the polisher into the Curve but I just don't feel confident with curves
Hi. I don’t have anything specific on that. But I do show in some videos that even if it stalls it’s ok. It’s still cutting, but just about 30%. You can work the pad gently into those areas and just take time. Or you could use a 3” polisher and it works better.
13:55 Interesting (unique?) approach to deciding what compound to start with, i.e. you started with the ‘middle’ grade. What would have to have happened with the middle polish to make you go to the lighter polish? All the pro-detailing polishing videos I have watched up to now have advised you should always start with the least aggressive polish first. Your cat looks well fed!😃
Hi. Yeah that’s just our method. We usually start with something in the middle and go from there. If it cut really well but left some micro-marring I would have dropped it down to a lighter polish. That’s just what we have found that works for us. And yes many on video show that method because for beginners it’s safer that way. But after years of polishing one will develop a “sixth sense” and understanding of clear coat and approach it differently. There is no hard fast rule. 😎👍🏼
you said Panamera wrong 8 times by my count, I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. I'm glad you said why the gas door thing was off, that was bugging me lol. thanx for another great video.
Hello Phil and Jess. Phil if i wanted to add QNR to my 10 litre wash bucket in order to soften the water, how much should i use ? Also does the amount of shampoo need to change. Also can you add QNR to a foam lance mixed with snow foam if so how much. Quality video as always.
Hi. Thanks. I have seen many detailers just add a few ounces of ONR in the foam cannons buckets and even water tanks. for the water tanks probably like 12-16 ounces for a 50-75 gallon tank should be fine. use the same amount of shampoo as you usually do.
What would you have done with that hard paint for the cutting if you were doing a 2-step correction (80-90%)? same pad/polish just more passes or something more aggressive?
Oh also when you use Prep, do you switch over to a dry side of the towel ever for a final wipe to prevent any streaking? Or is that not really necessary?
I counted misspellings 9 times. I bought 2005 porsche black 911 c2 back in 2017 with 47k miles. Lot of swirls. I did polish twice since and this year did Adam graphine ceramic coating. People think it's mabe newer bcz paint looks amazing. Couple of scratches for being used. Did trim with carpro DELUX. Came out brand new. I even coated gas cap with DELUX.
Hey guys, I counted 8 times. I love the Oberk cut and polish. Never got pads for them . I normally use lake county pads and it does a great job with them .
@@MirandaDetailing ok, some sheeting products are good helps to minimize waterspots, it would be nice if the customer brings it back to u, to c the durability of the product.
I had some rotors get stained one time with iron remover on a Porsche so I no longer use the stuff that turns purple except for on the inner barrel and face. Have you ever had this problem Phil? Great video killer content as always
That’s strange. It should have rinsed away. They could be carbon fiber rotors. Metals ones would not have done that. But who knows. I have never had that happen. Sorry man.
I counted 10 times you said Panamera wrong.... I have a dark blue Panamera and yes the clearcoat is hard I took two days and did a two step paint correction on it
Great review on the Oberk products. The Defense Gel looks interesting, Maybe 6 to 9 months of protection? I would like to see more brands develop ceramic products like Gyeon Can Coat and Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coat as they are very easy to apply and work with. "Panajama 8 times".
I say 10 even though 2 of them sounded a bit tricky . Anyways thanks for the chance and thanks for the videos with Always showing different brands and procedures on how to use .
I think I counted 9 times... not positive though... I noticed some hyper clean products on your shelf..Have you had a chance to try them out yet? I recently tried their risnsless/waterless wash, I know its not your method, and their Sliq SIO2 sealant... I was pretty impressed... I got their cleanse shampoo but haven't tried it yet...
Awesome video! Love seeing your polish and pad selection and how you achieve great results! I might have lost track exactly of how many times panamajama was used lol my guess 6 times. 🤙
Great content man! Pronouncing names wrong adds some good comedy to the video. I count 10 times you said Panamera wrong. Lol & I see you went with the first thumbnail for the video 👍🏽
I really dig all of your content. It has helped me tremendously and I definitely appreciate that you are not "my way or the highway". You encourage detailer to do what is best for them. I heard you mispronounce the vehicle name 9 times. Lol! 😁
Great turn around. Does the brake dust/iron stick to the glass? Do you need to clay the windshield? I hate hard clearcoat! Now that protection looked very easy. Might be looking into that stuff. Hi wife!
i thought i hear pajama i want to stay in a huge size Porsche pajama ^ _ ^ mi guess the owner bought it used cause he can afford it you made it as new again
Awesome video Phil I’m happy I got to see the car up close last week
The Porsche Pandemica looked perfect when you finished polishing it. Thank you,
🤣🤣🤣 I should have used the at one!
I love Oberk products. Really satisfied with their All Purpose Soap for decon washes and its general versatility.
I seen you had ceram x polish. Have you done a video on it yet. If not whats yours views or compare to another polish

Great job as always!!!
Superb video as always! 10 times!
I counted ten mispronunciations. I was curious about the Oberk Wheel Cleaner, would it be worth is for mobile details as it has a longer dwell time?
😁👍🏼. The oberk wheel cleaner is great stuff. I would still recommend it.

10 Porsche Pajama references. Great video, enjoyed seeing how the Defense Gel worked out.
Excellent content! You're production quality is top notch. You've earned the respect of the industry thank you.
It may be odd for some but I quite like that generation Panamera.
First video and morning coffee of the day, awesome, thanks Phil 👍😁

This weekend past I put a second coat of jet seal on my truck, and two coats of Nexgen spray ceramic. Happy belated Fathers Day to you .

@@MirandaDetailing Thank you Phil, for a home detailer like me, your advice is invaluable.
Thanks man!
Porsche looks amazing! Customer will definitely be happy. I counted 9 banana ramas.
Oberg gel, how long will it last in your opinion? Fun video and such a great real world example in how to handle over spray. Awesome
I'm not sure what its true durability is, this was my first time using it. I'll have to apply it to a panel on my Lexus and see how it lasts
What would you have done with that hard paint for the cutting if you were doing a 2-step correction (80-90%)? same pad/polish just more passes or something more aggressive?
Yup pretty much. I would have spent more time cutting.
Hello Phil + Jess from Australia🙃 The answer for how many times Panamera was mispronounced was 9 times..Also a great outcome as per usual guys..✌
I love your furry shop manager
What microfibres did you use for removing the coating?
Hi. We use the Kirkland yellow microfibers. They work perfectly!
@@MirandaDetailing good to know, I was looking for some good cheap microfibre for removing coatings thanks!
Whats your method for removing all of the dust that comes from compounding at 18:35?
Oh also when you use Prep, do you switch over to a dry side of the towel ever for a final wipe to prevent any streaking? Or is that not really necessary?
I like to use the air compressor to blow down the vehicle before we do a final wipe.
Oh yeah, I'll flip the towel to the dry side and buff away any residue.
@@MirandaDetailing gotcha, thanks!

another amazing video/product review/content good friend
Another great video! And thanks for the recommendation as far as Tim’s Shine Your Light goes! It’s been fun to use in this Texas heat.

im gonna say
3 times before contest announcement once in middle then twice at end, but one of those times at the end you actually say it correctly
How was oberk's sole and their yellow pad Phil? I think i will pick up sole this year for my yearly polish and finish off with gyeon primer/cancoat.
Hi. It’s great stuff! The wipe off is so smooth and easy.
I heard 9 incorrect pandaslamma. That Porsche Banarama turned out great nicely done.
Awesome content! Oberk defense gel is it more of coating or a good long lasting paint sealant?
Thanks. Its an interesting hybrid ceramic sealant. it applies like a coating, but its a sheeting product also.
@@MirandaDetailing ok, some sheeting products are good helps to minimize waterspots, it would be nice if the customer brings it back to u, to c the durability of the product.
I hope he does!
Can’t wait to see your results on pre wash with the Coch chemie soaps !!! I plan on using it in my IK foamer for prewash.

10 Panameras Phil. Looks sick.
I had some rotors get stained one time with iron remover on a Porsche so I no longer use the stuff that turns purple except for on the inner barrel and face. Have you ever had this problem Phil? Great video killer content as always
It was a gts or something like that don't remember exactly which model I would have to look at some pictures I took
Oh weird, were the rotors carbon Fiber ones? Did it stain the whole rotor or just the part that the pads hit?
@@MirandaDetailing it left purple drip marks and I don't think it was carbon fiber I think but I could be wrong
All over the rotor
