- » ASE L3 Certification for HEV Technicians (USA) | Webinar « Welcome to our exclusive webinar hosted at the prestigious CAT Conference in the USA, where we delve into the essential aspects of the ASE L3 Test and Electric Vehicles. In this session, we leverage our latest hybrid and electric vehicle trainers to provide an in-depth exploration of the intricate technology behind these cutting-edge vehicles.
Key topics covered in this webinar include:
🚗 Isolation Procedures: Learn the crucial techniques for ensuring safety during high voltage service, including the use of service plugs, scan tools, and low voltage connector methods.
🚗 Interlocks: Gain a comprehensive understanding of what interlocks are and how they play a pivotal role in the operation of electric vehicles.
🚗 System Main Relays: Explore the operation and function of system main relays, a fundamental component in the functioning of electric vehicle systems.
🚗 PPE and Safety Equipment: Discover the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear when working with high voltage systems, ensuring your safety at all times.
🚗 3 Phase Motors: Dive into the world of 3 phase motors, including motor control and inverters, which are responsible for the critical DC to AC conversion in electric vehicles.

I can’t thank you enough guys. I own an HEV/ EV repair shop on its infancy and I am mostly familiar with hybrid and only have an EV in my shop once which was an older 24KW Nissan Leaf. I have big dream for my shop and understand the importance of ASE certification. Not just for trust issue but most insurance and extended warranty provider requires it. Again I can’t thank you enough
Thank you very much for your comment, Ronaldo! :)
Excellent resource!
Thank you very much :)
I got a question when using mega ohm meter should electronic devices be unplugged specially ones connected to high voltage like the sensor wires on the battery bus
Do you mean for an insulation measurement? In general, if you want to measure the electrical resistance of a device, you should isolated as best as possible from all other connections. If you perform an insulation measurement in the HV system, you don't need to worry about those connections you have mentioned. They are isolated from the HV system and it is most unlikely, that they have a faulty connection to the HV system.
@@LucasNuelleInternational That answer my question. In the real world scenario testing for insulation fault is more complex. Usually involving taking things apart for access. It’s just the way you did it in the video made it seem a lot more simple.
Where would one sign up for a in person class on high voltage systems with you guys?
Thank you for your interest! At the moment, our main focus is on developing and selling high-quality training systems. This means we don't currently operate a dedicated training center or offer a regular schedule of webinars. However, we do provide free training courses here in Germany, though we haven't expanded these internationally just yet. We are excited about the possibility of offering more webinars and educational opportunities in the future. Keep an eye on our announcements, and hopefully, we can welcome you to one of our sessions soon!
